Soulherder1WU
Creature - Spirit (U)
Whenever a creature is exiled from the battlefield put a +1/+1 counter on Soulherder.
At the beginning of your end step, you may exile another target creature you control, then return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control.

Very strong blink engine, and I like that it grows into a threat on its own (even if an opponent’s creature gets exiled). Perfect curve would be like turn 2 Wall of Omens / turn 3 Soulherder / turn 4 Palace Jailer / turn 5 Angel of Invention seems pretty busted. Can alpha strike with Parallax Wave to clear blockers / quickly gain counters. The only strike against it is the competition in Azorius, especially as a 1UW card. I think this is very cubeable, the question is do you have space for it.
Also, I’m assuming this is a huge bomb in peasant.
Wow this card is pretty sweet. Stiff competition is stiff, but if you want to try out a blinky blinky archetype card this is likely... the best one for cube? I'm seriously considering giving this a chance. It doesn't have as much raw power as some other Azorius options but it does exactly what I want my gold cards to do: support and reward archetype and synergy based drafting. I'm halfway towards talking myself into trying this out.
Azorius doesn't need a new cube card every set, but here we are... great with Recruiters, 'Lark, etc. Sadly, my cube's Azorius decks are almost always hard control so IDK if people will even want this.
ETB value decks are often come together by accident in my cube, but I like the idea of having a true support card for the archetype. There are so many creatures in every color that would be excellent with this creepy spirit. Curving from this into a Flametongue Kavu or Ravenous Chupacabra would be insane. The top end, game breaking value of blinking stuff like Inferno Titan or Hornet Queen also seems sweet.
I think this is a good card, but man the competition in is stiff. Is this better than Brago, King Eternal for blink decks? That one has evasion, hits multiple cards, can reset all permanents (including 'walkers for immediate reuse!) and has 4 toughness for suriving bolts.
At this point an Azorius card needs to be God-Tier to breakthrough. The only way for one to break into my current section would be for it to warp the Standard env it's put in (hello both Teferis!)
I agree, but I'm happy to see a blink card this pushed printed at uncommon. Gives me high hopes for future rare/mythic blink archetype supporting cards.
Seems like the perfect blink archetype enabler, potentially the best?
Brago costs 4 mana and has to untap to realize value, which is a huge deal.
Venser 5 mana and can be attacked.
Doesn't make it into my cube, but not far off at all.

I think this card is quite insane. and yet it's sad, because if you ask yourself what else this would have to do inorder to make it into the guild slot, I am not even sure, it would probably have to have the same casting cost as a black lotus at this point
I don't think this will break in for anybody who wasn't already interested in making blink a thing in the UW section.
I would definitely play this card. In fact this is an uncommon, which means I probably will play it. My main trouble with this set is that there are so many cards I want that will be expensive. My budget will stop me from getting all the best goodies.
Very interesting, fragile when it lands but giving a blink EOT does help a lot with the value train. Seems especially great with Palace Jailer. Too bad I can't even fathom to cut an Azorius card!
At 720, Azorius is a little less locked up... but only a little. I can't imagine cutting Fractured Identity, Supreme Verdict, Geist, Reflector Mage, or Teferi HoD. That leaves two slots that are currently held by Spell Queller and Sphinx's Revelation, with newest Teferi, Brago, Dragonlord Ojutai, and Detention Sphere all sitting on the sidelines already. So which two make the most sense? I've wished for a blink enabler ever since cutting Venser but I don't think something like Brago stands up... perhaps this jumps in over Spell Queller?

I'm likely cutting Geist for this, as my play group just doesnt really enjoy playing against him or with him. I also think Soul Herder is a more engaging build around than Geist, if maybe less powerful. That said, I'd also cut Spell Queller for this in a heartbeat. Especially so if you are still cubing with Reveillark.
Excited to see how obnoxious this is with Reflector Mage and Palace Jailer.

I think it is as it costs less and you get a blink on the turn you play it.
I could be convinced to try it if my playgroup was interested, but I only play 5 cards per guild and I don't think it cracks the top 5 of Azorius
This in a bant deck with Thragtusk....lol. 10 life, 8 power for 4G and it scales from there. =D
I think this effect would be just as at home in a Boros deck with FTK, Purphoros, Pia and Kiran, Siege Gang, etc. and Boros isn't as stacked at the top as Azorious. I would like to see something like this...
Aetherwarp MothRW
Creature - Insect (R)
Flying, haste
At the beginning of your end step you may exile another target non-land permanent you control. If the exiled permanent was a creature put a +1/+1 counter on Aetherwarp Moth. If the exiled permanent was an artifact discard a card, and then draw a card. Then return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control.

I don't think Soulherder is better than Brago, but it is better than Venser. It costs 3 instead of 5, and doesn't have to worry about getting attacked. It also grows faster if you have Brago or other blink effects. I could potentially run all 3, but I'll be dropping Venser for the time being.
I think Soulherder aged slightly better with the number of 2CMC blink targets/ Initiative + improve mana for 4C blink builds.

This is pretty powerful blink card. Arguably better than Venser, the Sojourner since it goes to work earlier even if only gets creatures. It works great with exile based removal like Oblivion Ring or Settle the Wreckage and it can do some pretty sexy stuff with Snapcaster Mage, Whirler Rogue, Man-o'-War, Venser, Shaper Savant, Blade Splicer, Flickerwisp, Mulldrifter, Angel of Invention, Torrential Gearhulk, and that is just within the color pair. Azorious is ridiculously stacked of course so this probably misses small/medium cubes because it says creature and not permanent.

My first thought when I saw this, this is an easy 360 inclusion for peasant cube. The perfect signpost for one of my favorite archetypes.
I don't think it's good enough for traditional all star cubes, but I'd be interested in trying this over Brago if I needed a UW Blink signpost card.
