Spicy card, very powerful attack trigger. The 3-cmc red creature slot has gotten very competitive over the years, but I can see some people testing this out, especially in lower powered environments.
This is an archetype card if ever I saw one. If you support discard matters, this is does a lot of good stuff. But always being forced to attack and therefore discard will definitely be a downside pretty often.
I would play this card, but I'll probably never go out of my way to buy a copy.
In R/x aggro it's a 3/3 that draws you 3 cards every turn. Fails the Vindicate/Oust test but then agian so does Hanweir Garrison and this creature's attack trigger is much stronger. I'm definitely going to try this guy out and he seems great on paper to me.
Spicy definatly. It's a similar design space to seasoned pyromancer. I like the pyromancer more myself simply because of the guaranteed value, but i can see some people wanting to get away from all the token makers and this could be an interesting choice.
Powerful at the right times, but even in sellout aggro there are times where I don't want to discard my hand, and being forced to swing/discard every turn takes away that flexibility. Pass.
In a good case scenario, you are drawing 3 cards a turn from this guy. That kind of value can't be ignored. But he certainly has uncontrollable downsides. I'll probably have to test this before I can come to any conclusions.
