Definitely worth a thread. He's a bit boring, but unlike the other face cards, he does do something in cube.
For a populate commander, I wish he did anything other than making the same rhino when he attacks. I'd be happy to have a more interesting naya card, but this isn't it. It is efficient though.
It's playable, but it's nowhere near the level of cool that I'd be willing to pay money for.
Probably better than Wild Nacatle for Tricolor sections, as this has a titan-esque ability and seems good in naya midrange and off of cards like sneak attack or revelark. I don’t run any naya cards, but if I did I’d probably replace it with this.
For people who dedicate a slot to each shard/wedge, this seems like a far better option than Realm Razer or Gahiji or any of the other candidates so far. 6/9 across two bodies for five mana isn't bad, and unmolested it swings for 10 the next turn.
But I don't intend to go back to those days with my own cube.
Best true naya card, cube playable.. but don't think it's good enough to warrant a spot unless you are intentionally supporting each shard/wedge casting cost combination.
I like how it fits with the 2 power theme and good with cards like fires of yaivmaya, or blink.. But those are lower powered strategies anyway.
It's still embarrassed by a lot of the more powerful things high powered cube decks ramp into and isn't better than the higher tier mono colored 5 drops (though it's certainly competitive when converting it to cmc).

Ha, I hadn't even considered the synergy with Alesha or Reveillark or the like... that's gross.
I think he'd be great if I wanted to have more Naya Midrange decks, because it's a pretty good deal for 5 mana. There are already plenty of good 5 drops available in these colors, but I'm not aware of any of them providing that much toughness. Those Alesha and Reveillark synergies are certainly welcome, but I dislike that it's a populate trigger on attack; I don't think I have tokens bigger than 4/4 in my cube, so if the rhino gets sniped, he's not too likely to use that keyword very well.
It's cool, but just not really what I'm looking for right now.
Wild Nacatl is my current Naya card, but no one ever seems to play gruul or Naya aggro. Maybe I'll test this...
Looking at your list, there are no other aggressive 1 drops in green. Given that cube aggro decks lean pretty heavily on 1 mana creatures, it's not entirely surprising that no one drafts it.

Ghired seems fine, nothing remarkable.
Here's my cube! Give it a draft!
