Strong 6-cmc walker. Overall better than Vraska, Relic Seeker at the same cost, IMO. More immediate board impact, and his -3 is essentially a 3 for 1. If your currently playing Relic Seeker, this seems like an overall upgrade / supplement. Being able to potentially ultimate the turn after you cast it can be pretty game ending just like OG Garruk Wildspeaker's ultimate. Garruk tribal is also a nice bonus since Wildspeaker / Relentless are extremely common in cubes.
Best Golgari PW I'd say. Generating 4 power each turn. Removal and card draw in 1 ability (although you might only be able to do it once which sucks). Not sure if being the best Golgari PW when the others are pretty lackluster gets you into this guild section dominated by cheap powerful permanent removal though...
I like this one. I do run the two green Garruks and this is a strong curve-topper. Not sure if it beats out Assassin's Trophy, Maelstrom Pulse or Pernicious Deed though.
It's so similar to big Vraska I don't think I need to make the change. Garruk makes better creatures but Vraska's -3 is better for Cube since it has the option of killing artifacts or enchantments. They are so close. Like how many games would this win you that Vraska wouldn't?

Garruk's token generating ability is exponentially better than Vraska's. Stronger on offense and defense, it's a lot easier to swarm or kill one of your creatures and fire off Garruk's ultimate the next turn.

That's true. I didn't take into account how much easier it is for Garruk to ultimate. That being said, Garruk's ultimate is more "fragile" as it depends on having a board presence while Vraska's is more final. Garruk probably edges out Vraska ever so slightly but I think you'd only want to run one of the two and the power difference between them is very small.
Not convinced it's better than 6 vraska, but maybe it is. Certainly compete for the same slot and are close enough in power that it's worth comparing.
The bodies are more threatening, his ultimate is less so (harder to enable), hitting only creatures is a significant draw back, drawing a card when using the - is a big deal, lower loyalty but can protect itself a bit better.
In creature heavy metas, I like this garruk considerably better, but in planeswalker heavy metas, perhaps a little worse? It really depends on the environment.. In my cube *shrug*.. probably playing neither.
I like it better than 7 mana GB garruk and the full frame art looks siiiickk
I'm also not convinced this is better than six mana Vraska. Garruk's token ability is obviously better. Two 2/2s are certainly better than one 2/2, even if the one has menace. The minus ability is the one that matters in the BG decks that want a six mana planewalker, though, and I think I prefer the minus that has more target options than the one that gives me a little bit of card advantage. The ultimates are comparable and both can be game winning, but my Golgari decks aren't typically looking for an Overrun effect, so it's entirely dependent on Garruk creating the army.
Both cards are good, for sure. I just don't think I'd go out of my way to pick up a Garruk if I was already running Vraska. If he is better, I don't think he's better enough to warrant the swap unless he ends up being super cheap and easy to get.
This probably replaces Vraska,Relic Seeker for me. Incidentally, I like that you can have Garruk Relentless fight this to flip over and net a loyalty counter for both!

Draw a card is so much better than make a treasure that I think it more than makes up for the more limited targeting, especially since you're gonna want to hit a creature anyway probably 90% of the time and where green has so many options for killing artifacts and enchantments. I think this is one of those cases where a card is clearly, but not substantially, better.
I just realized Garruk's ultimate is an emblem (I just assumed it was one-shot Overrun like Wildspeaker). This really shoots him up for me over Vraska even more, those wolves he generates are huge rattlesnakes.

I think Garruk is slightly worse when ahead, but significantly better when behind. A trade I'll happily take on my six drops.
The more I think about this garruk, the more I think it's vetter than 6 mana vraska.
I thought enabling the ultimate would be difficult, but maybe it isn't. You could kill your own creature or sacrifice it too.
Casting garruk, creating TWO! bodies for defense, then next turn killing one and ultimating garruk is an extremly powerful line in a creature deck.
Assuming your deck has enough creatures, the ultimate seems near impossible to beat.

Bonus points for Nightpack Ambusher too.

I'm joking, but I don't think the draw of this card is 6 mana single-target creature removal.
