MTG Salvation

This seems like a fine card for black aggro. Black doesn't have many cubeable 3 power 2-drops yet. At least not without a drawback.

Flash makes it rather flexible. Offensively, you can cast it eot after a sweeper or after an opposing attack to surprisingly up the clock. Defensively, you can ambush (viper) an attacker. Kills almost any non-evasive attacker thanks to deathtouch and even gains you 3 life in that case. Which is nice for black.

Rarely, you might even use its etb effect to give another knight a buff. And in some cubes, it might matter than it is a cheap human.

I think I have a spot for this at 600 cards.

A three power two drop (with Flash) in black would be welcome if you were really pushing an aggressive strategy in black. I love black aggro, but I'd rather my aggressive black creatures be more versatile than this. The knight count is unfortunately pretty low in cube, so the ETB ability probably means this will just be an Ambush Viper. I don't think that's what black aggro is looking for.

Ambush Viper + healing salve or a pseudo hasty Blade of the Sixth Pride. I push black aggro and I'm stoked for this creature.

I HATE 3/1's without evasion or a way to survive, and this has neither. There's way too many incidental 1/1's running around now in cube.

Im going to test over glint sleeve siphoner for a bit and see how it does.

Not gonna lie, if I include this guy it'll be because I like cards depicting badass knights. The abilities aren't bad, but it's not really playing according to our black section's plan, which is either 1) play dudes who you can sac and recur or 2) evasive beats and card draw.

If it just straight-up had lifelink, then I would be a lot more interested, because I'm trying to make lifegain a definitive B/W archetype.
