This is lots of fun and gives white a combo deck. I've got several white cards on the block: Reveillark, Kor Skyfisher, maybe Gideon Jura. Lots of stuff my drafters have no interest in, and I like testing new cards out, especially when they enable new decks.

Probably won't play it, since I don't really have experience with combo-archetypes and I can't expand my Cube beyond 540 since I'm mostly playing 1v1 or 4-player pods, but nice to see some action going on for the rest of you
Enables a few 2 card combos and good if you have the “Ajani’s Pridemate” gain life archtype. Also good with whip of Erebos (hmmm.. wrong weapon though).
In a regular cube where white is weenie aggro, control, or maybe bkink, he will not contribute. So it’s a pass for me.
I wonder if it’s worth including heliod in your cube if you ONLY have say walking ballista + triskellion?
walking ballista is such a powerful interaction (turn 4 kill w/o acceleration) id be tempted to say yes.
the downside of that is , you probably can’t justify draftinn heliod until you already have a combo piece. Whereas with more support you can maybe justify building around heliod itself.

it’s not a turn 4 kill without acceleration because ballista dies when heliods trigger is on the stack unless ballista has a second counter. I guess it’s a turn 4 kill if you play ballista in turn 2 and can attack with it unblocked, but that seems unlikely.
Unless I’m missing some interaction, which is entirely possible.

I'm going to pretend this is what I meant instead of the reality that I didn't think through the interaction well enough when I said turn 4 kill.
It can also be a turn 4 kill if you have a turn 1 creature, turn 2 Ballista, turn 3 Heliod, and on turn 4 you give both creatures lifelink and chump attack with the 1 drop. Still a bit of a best case scenario.
Infinite damage kill with Walking ballista and Triskellion.
Enlightened tutor grabs both parts of the combo
Gain infinite life with spike feeder....
semi-playable in mono white.
Think this is basically an auto-include for me.
