I'm gonna play black sheep here and state that I like this more than the black one. This fits really well in draw-go shells, the effect could be better but the opportunity cost is very low, also preventing you from drawing too many lands in lategame is "sort of" card advantage. Plays well with Sylvan Library, Top and Jace also

The opportunity cost isn't putting it in your deck. If given to me after the draft I would play this land in almost any blue deck. The opportunity cost comes from cutting a different blue card from your Cube to include a land that will rarely have an impact on the game.

maybe not at 360 but in larger list i'm pretty sure there's something to cut

I run a 465 card cube and can safely state there is nothing I'd cut for this land. I have at least 5 cards on the bench I like better. This is likely the 5th best blue land, so I guess if you are already running five you'd have something to cut.
This is a good card for reactive control decks and flash shells that can afford to leave all their mana up every turn and potentially pay 5 mana to scry. It has a low opportunity cost for deckbuilding, but the cost of taking up a blue spot in the cube is pretty high. Might test, but I don't think I'll ultimately have room for this at the end of the day.
This is a good card, but it seems pretty costly to get the scry. My cube is way slower than most, but even I'm skeptical. It's not that I wouldn't be able to find a cut for it of course: I'll play this if I end up with a copy. Still, the cost is higher, and effect is generally less than the black one.
But honestly, I think I could add the whole cycle and be happy, even Castle Garenbrig, which is basically gives you six mana for five. It may be limited, but it's still a land that taps for more than one mana. The white one remains, but it's probably good too.
Easily my favorite of the cycle but blue cards usually are. That said I don't run tolarian academy, academy ruins , or shelldock isle. I still have Faerie Conclave and this is neither better nor fills the same roll as that card.
Pretty incredible in instant speed control mirrors, but other than that I don't think I'd want it in such a stacked color. Blue also has a lot of amazing utility lands.
I feel like there is one card every set that I completely disagree with the mtgs cube community. This is that card this set. I think that I would never want to spend 5 mana to scry 2 and the number of cards that would slot themselves in above this castle is astronomical. Blue utility lands like shell dock isle, blue man lands like the faerie conclave, blue utility lands like halimar depths, or academy ruins, or pretty much anything. This card gets a hot garbage/5 from me. If my control deck is using this ability, it’s already won, or my cube is the durdliest thing ever.
Edit: my reading comprehension is bad, seems to be a middling consensus, but I think this is legitimately a bad card.
Low opportunity cost, high upside! Works with duals/shocks as well.
The only problem is cube slots...
Furthermore, blue is the deepest color by far in cube, which I think will keep this out of all but the largest lists (720+)

Agreed. I would also run Faerie Conclave over this, especially with the prevalence of 'walkers.

Tolarian Academy - Best
Shelldock Isle/Academy Ruins - Roughly similar power levels
Faerie Conclave - Close behind the last two
