Hey all! I'm almost done with my pauper cube (based heavily on Lanxal's), but my group has expressed interest in multiplayer. I don't know why I hadn't thoguht of this before, since all we do right now is EDH anyway.
Do you guys have any suggestions on how to make a pauper cube more multiplayer-oriented?
Check Conspiracy for applicable stuff. The Parely and Will of the Council mechanic are acceptable. And Dethrone needs played with.
Vigilance is a very important mechanic. And likely Aggro will not exist, so the lower end like 1-2cc creatures need to either be very efficent or have an ability.
These card suggestions are very helpful, thank you! I'm not too worried about extort, but then again it's a much bigger deal with 20 life than with 40. We'll try it out with extort/other powerful cards, and cut down if they make things less fun.

Yes Voltrons will exist, but that means more sacrifice like Abyssal Gatekeeper or Innocent Blood. Also, very much need Deathtouch and Fade Away.
I personally recommend a little more Enchantment and/or Graveyard hate. Tortured Existence will probably be above the curve even more.
Mental Discipline and Flood are very playable. Instant and repeatable effects likely beat stronber Sorceries; see also Flash and Soulbond.
This may also be a strong reason for either less Gold, or using Signets to stabalize.
Probably BAN Breathe of Malfegore and Blood Tithe, maybe Grey Merchant

Older Red heavy decks can kill 1 guy easy, it is the 2nd they have problems with because they burned out, no pun intended.
The stupid things like:
Are better than you think here. Mechanics shift in priority when you know you are in for the long haul.
Off the top of my head:
Spellshapers
Vigilance
Hexproof
Enchantments (ones like the Seals)
Walls
Retrace
Buyback
They are great. And people should run more lands, because a flood is more bearable for a turn or two than a screw you can never catch up on.
