I don't know how easy it is, it's probably the right pick but this pack is stacked. I could see arguments for Eternal Witness, Crystal Shard, maybe young Pyromancer.
Sorry about that JovianHomarid, I rehosted on imgur so let me know if that works on your end.
Sure. My outburst was probably uncalled for, I just really wanna play with all you cool kids. I am now at a different computer, and it works, for whatever resaon. Computers doing computer-stuff I suppose.
I think I would pick Crystal Shard in this pack. Probably over Witness. Not as high on Joraga DPer (what?) as i0.
Treespeaker has, IMHO, the best chance of being the best card in your deck... regardless of what specific archetype you're in or what deck you're matched up against.
Shard is fun, sometimes back-breaking, but also super slow against aggro and not even good in every blue deck. YP is great in Izzet with cantrips, but often gets cut from mono-red lists or Boros-Rakdos-Gruul aggro.
Not sure if I like picking Rise from the Tides P1P1. Many of the spells you want in that deck, everyone will want, so I'm generally inclined to prioritise spells over payoffs earlier.
The two cards that leaped out at me was Glasskite and Necromancy, and I wouldn't expect either to wheel. Probably take Necromancy, but it's close.
Rise didnt do it for me in the small amount of time I tried it. I'm on the necromancy train.
Rare case for being broadly applicable, better as a build around, and very strong
It was the complete opposite for me. I eventually banned it for being too powerful.
It was the kind of card that when it worked, it was super oppressive. Even if it's average case was fine, the BCS was absurd and was reason enough for me to exclude it.
Off-topic but how did the BCS for Rise go in your cube bdawg? Sorry, but at least in my cube I can't imagine a 6 mana sorcery that spawns, at best, 4-5 tapped 2/2s making many maindecks.

~400 Peasant++ : List : Draft
Warning: Not for the durdly-hearted!
I can hardly talk for BrownDog but here is a semi-recent example deck I drafted on CubeTutor. I would at least imagine there being enough of a critical mass of non-permanent spells to make Rise from the Tides fairly backbreaking.
After a lot of hemming and hawing I'd probably draft Murderous Cut. Good in every black deck, splashable in 3+ color lists. There's like six other things I would consider, though.
I, too, would probably consider Murderous Cut at first but I might actually decide to go with Mishra's Factory, instead. It is a great manland to be used both defensively and offensively and it does not represent any form of colour commitment. Obviously, at P1P1, no card outside the very strongest ones should but Factory being a land makes it a particularly noncommittal choice.
Edit: This pack seems to not really be inviting much discussion. After a few refreshes, I think I found one that might warrant some discussion on mine.
It remains worth its slot, for sure. As long as pumps are readily available, he can essentially be a repeatable though somewhat more vulnerable Domestication, and even the baseline represents a formidable problem by taking the opponent's utility creatures and evasive early creatures and forcing them to chump or trade before taking something new. How many blue creatures are there, especially in among the 3-drops, that can approach that power level?

Side note, is Old Man any good? I have a copy but haven't added it yet.

Are you talking about Hymn or Hombre Viejo Del Mar?
haha. Hymn.
Never had any experience with the Old Man... Is he any good? He looks like he could be pretty solid.
Perhaps it's his pricetag that has dissuaded me from his inclusion!
