Found an interesting deck list today, its a hybrid between Painter.dec and Cerebral Assassin. Got 1st place in a small tourney (so, may not be very exciting).
Dunno if this guys is the "creator" of this deck, but looks interesting none the less IMO. I would personally probably go with more power blue and probably Tinker and Yawg Will.
I love this style of deck, it's what brought me to back to the game and what (re)interested me in vintage in the first place, but while it is speedy and powerful, it lacks disruption. I too prefer a more U/B/r Version Tinker, Yawg Will are all nice but it always seem to need either hand disruption or some type of counter protection - Force of Will is often too color intensive so Duress/Thoughtseize seem better. But then the question of what to remove in it's place - I played around with it a bit, dropped some Blasts, added Tinker, Will, Intuition, Recall, Discard, Regrowth (making it 4 color - with Balance tempting me into a 5th color), but it just seems tier 1.75 - the win conditions are good - but Vault/Key/Tezz backed up by counters just seems more robust.
Squee is an incredible card drawing engine but it often takes several turns to set it up, I am not sure that the Red Blasts are enough to protect your combo especially since the painters will turn everything in an opponents hand to be applicable to pitch to FoW.
I agree, that I can't see this deck being Tier 1 level consistently. I would like to tweak on this list and use it as my "pet-deck" perhaps. Like you, this type of deck (CA) inspired me to pick up my cards again and wipe the dust out of my good old Bazaars (before Ichorid.dec existed).
And I like that it can easily be played 5c. I'll try working on a list when I find the time. Would love to see your suggested list as well Beralt.
I was thinking about finding room for a copy (or more) of Life from the Loam in there somewhere. Perhaps replace Time Walk (as it doesn't contribute too much to the overall deck strategy (except for giving you another turn to activate Bazaar and Welder). Or, perhaps the loams could replace Squee, Goblin Nabob instead as the little goblin does little to nothing except being fodder for Bazaar activations. At least, Loam can recycle used Gemstone Mines etc.

I like your list alot but it lacks any easy kill with infinite Dragon loop. Admittedly you can recur the Eternal Witness, then recur everthing and kill that way, but I always like a quicker answer, ala Oona, Laquatus, Yambushi, Sliver Queen or Cunning Wish into Stroke of Genius. Maybe I am spoiled, I guess recurring everthing then painting everything blue, then blasting all their permanents, and finishing by Grinding them out is a decent enough kill.
I might change a Sundering Titan into a Platinum Angel, change a Animate dead to Necromancy to get around Chalice/Extirpate and get rid of Squee to include a Regrowth but only superficial changes for the most part.
You can win via Eternal Witness + Animate Dead + Triskelion if you like. It infinite dmg without the use of loads of mana (in case your only source of color is City of Brass. If that doesn't work, you can deck your opponent by casting infinite amount of Ancestral Recalls.
Necromancy is a good point, and since Painter is also 2cc it would be nice to split up the kill condition's casting costs so that one Chalice don't ruin the day.
I just did a bit of a goldfish and LFTL wins over Regrowth - good call. Possessed Portal is the awesomeness, cutting down to one painter. Gush doesn't fit - no Islands to return - so it loses some usability. The Red Elemental Blasts are absolutely required, you can't go off infinitely with the Triskelion or Painter/Grindstone thru Null Rod unless you have the REB to destroy the Blue Null Rod.
You're absolutely right about the Gush, I forgot that the deck is all non-basics (lol).
Now we need to find room for Yawg Will and Possessed Portal . Portal can go in instead of the 2nd Grindstone maybe. Finding something to cut for Yawg Will is a bit trickier. And I think we have to prioritize these two cards over Crop Rotation at first.
As I see it, we can only cut down on creatures (which I don't know is such a good idea), and Time Walk. As you said, the Blasts are absolutely mandatory.

Dunno if its a typo but, why Regrowth over Squee? Or did you mean Life from the Loam?
How about:
-3 Squee, Goblin Nabob
-1 Animate Dead
+1 Thirst for Knowledge
+1 Life from the Loam
+1 Painter's Servant
+1 Necromancy
I'm also tempted to drop down to only one copy of Grindstone in there. I want to add/try Possessed Portal, Yawgmoth's Will, Gush and/or Crop Rotation.

Yawg will, where do I fit you in?
Crop Rotation for one of the Bazaars?
