About the list you posted above, I feel like a black splash weakens the deck to much. You stop be aggro combo and start being just more straight combo, which I feel is the wrong direction to go. I don't feel confident really adds to the deck, it just makes it harder to win in aggro mode because you are taking damage every turn.
One thing iIdid like is the red splash in the board for REB, something I tried before but never really worked out. I am not really playing this deck on a regauler basis any more, but I might try out the red splash again.
EDIT: I decided to play this deck at the last minitue in a tournament this weekend. I T8'ed with it, my 2 match loses were to combo. I had trouble with mana screw all day, so I cut a TFK from the below list for a Polluted Delta. Also the 2 Vedlaken Shackles should really be something else, probably Seasinger.
BomberMan:
4 Auriok Salvagers
4 Trinket Mage
3 Meddling Mage
1 Darksteel Colossus
1 Tinker
1 Fact or Fiction
1 Ancestral Recall 1 Mystical Tutor
4 Brainstorm
4 Thirst for Knowledge
4 Mana Drain
4 Force of Will
1 Time Walk
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Ruby
1 Sol Ring
1 Black Lotus
1 Tormod’s Crypt
1 Engineered Explosives
2 AEther Spellbomb
4 Flooded Strand
4 Tundra
5 Island 1 Plains 1 Library of Alexiandra 1 Tolarian Academy Sideboard: 1 Meddling Mage 3 Energy Flux 2 Seal of Cleansing 2 Tormod’s Crypt 1 Exalted Angel 1 Decree of Justice 2 Vedalken Shackles 3 Swords to Plowshares
Yes it is viable, Energy Flux helps quite a bit vs. Stax, and Salvagers is a strong deck all together. I do need to figure out my boarding strategies better, because often times I am at a loss of what to board out.
Heh, Austin played well with that deck...Slapjack is actually somewhat older than "bomberman" even though they are pretty much the same thing (Jeff aka SlapJack aka LotusHead on TMD worked with some of the Canadians very early on to get it together...believe it or not bomberman is from the West Coast, heh)
I have no idea about the exact strenghts of that particular build...team vacaville hadnt played salvager builds in nearly a year and actually re-built it in the car ride down to the tournament...which explains the rough nature of the build. It should be noted that Confidant came out in most matchups when sideboarding, however they want to re-try it at some point with 3 confidants (they only had two on them and dont like to proxy, lol) and its also of note that going more combo for the deck is actually more appropriate IMO for our meta at the current time anyways.
I believe its a strong choice much of the time, and even more so right now as the combo doesnt really have too much in its way with Stax taking a somewhat extended nap.
Oh and on one last note...LotusHead is well known out here for having some whackey ideas about what should be in decks for T1, valuing not only winning, but having a blast with odd card choices that can create powerful combos. (he even prefers comboing out with the conjurers bauble over all other options availible...so go with it, lol) His sometimes eccentric card choices do pretty well for the guy.
I am curious what you guys think about splashing black with bomberman, it seems like adding a couple bobs can give you a good card advantage, what else would you add though?
I have been playing Bomberman for a year and a half now and I don't like it. It makes the deck more control oriented and less aggro oriented. I think Bomberman's aggro plan is the best part about the deck.
I really don't see how black benefits the deck. Certainly cutting blue (the far and away best color in Vintage) cannot be correct. The thing about Confidant is that he screws with the main goal of the deck, as well as its consistency. Bob turns the deck into an aggro deck, when in reality it is combo/aggro/control. Say you play the control part but Bob is already on the board. 2x Misdirection, 4x Force, 3x Salvagers and 4x Trinket Mage are going to make a dent in your life total. Besides, the deck can't even use YawgWin properly, and that is one of the only reasons to splash black at all (besides Bob)! Bomberman wins on consistency and the interchangeable roles it plays. Black messes with both of those advantages.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

I will play what wins, not what is convenient. Personal preference is nothing, The win is all that matters. I will netdeck at every opportunity, but I will not let that stifle my creativity. Style points do not appear on tournament reports. A good deck with an incompetent pilot is nothing more than a dressed up match win. I will crush my opponent mercilessly, and expect no less from him. Victory is its own reward, The prize is just a bonus.

DSC is not needed. The combo wins the game instantly what is the use of an 11/11 trample that could take 2 or 3 slots out of the deck? Also scroll cant get tinker. Tinker is a sorcery. Nice Necro BTW.

Round One: Bill Copes playing Stax
Bill seems like a nice guy till I see that he's playing Stax and realize (by way of a concrete Magic formula I learned from my 4th grade math teacher) he has no soul.
Duno why I thought tinker was an instant. Just thought it being broken and all that it just had to be an instant... oh well. Its just that people hate on the combo and I win like half my games on the back of the 12 dudes in the deck swinging with a few of them.
BTW it was a necro with permission.

Pyrite isn;t ran do to it's ineffectiveness if you can't get the combo. At least Aether spellbomb can be used to bounce a colossus or another threat even if you can't get the combo going, but yeah, i love this deck.
I've been contemplating the idea of Time Vault and Voltaic key also
I can never decide whether or not I want yawgwill in this deck. It could be back-breaking, but it would most likely remove lotus from the game, which makes me uneasy. My graveyard might also have little more than creatures and land, too.
Pyrite spellbomb is unnecessary in this build. drawing your deck and then timewalking with a ton of creatures in play seems good. you can also just play out the timevault combo and win.
I'm not sure if thoughtseize or negate should go in that spot. I like negate because with a mox and a land, you can stop a rod on the draw. It also won't open you to waste. 3 drains may also seem strange, but there really just isn't room. The 2nd negate took the spot, because it comes on line a turn earlier with acceleration.
I wanted to try the timevault combo because of the awesome synergy with trinket mage. all you have to do is come into salvagers or vault, and trinket mage finds the other piece.
what do you guys think?
