Hey guys just threw this isochron scepter deck as my first attempt at making my own deck (instead of following an archetype). I would love any suggestions/sideboard help. I would say the main point is to win with tinker/blightsteel colossus or time vault/voltaic key. The nice thing is that I can run 4 keys because they synergize well with the scepter. silence is the other soft lock and the other scepter fodder is there for utility.
Thanks so much for the response. I really dig all the suggestions. I might one-of the counterspells for scepter use. I will probably go to steel sabotage for main deck and sideboard the justice card for null rod decks. I just love the scrying on a stick with scepter.
I think I'll cut street wraith, but I really like Gitaxian probe for FoW synergy. Definitely will take a couple keys out and put in Tezz.
Fetch lands are obvious, duh, my bad on those. And the tuck or discard effects for blightsteel are obvious suggestions I overlooked.
Thanks a million again. If anyone has any other comments I would greatly appreciate it. Any thoughts on orims chant or abeyance?
Oh I also had a question about the vault/key combo. Is that a win in itself? Doesn't that just give you extra turns? If you have no creatures or burn or something you can't technically win can you?
Going to add to the fetchlands comment, additionally you may want to include some basic lands to help dodge wasteland, strip and moon effects.
Another note, your blue count looks a little low for FOW, only 11 other blue spells, if you cut the Wraiths, consider adding Blue such as Flusterstorm, Spell Pierce or Merchant Scroll.
Final note, 4 Voltaic Key is too many - consider running Tezzeret to tutor up a needed artifact or replace the key.
Why don't you run cunning wish and use all the best instants from all 5 colors from a wish board? You can have everything from silence to lightning helix to counterspell to fog and never actually have to "play" those colors. Also, playing with the wishes lets you free up main deck slots for more versatility moving a copy of some of your spells to the board.
For the record, adding tezzeret gives you a means to win with infinite turns from vault/key.
I think Impulse would be good in this deck. maybe in place of some of the Probes or wraiths or something. You can put them on the scepter and they dig pretty deep.
