my thinking is that green sun zenith will be my main engine for getting hermit druid in order to dump the library into the graveyard. green sun also gives me quick access to protection in the form of xantid swarm. to boot i can sideboard in gaddoc teeg if he is any good against particular match ups.
once the graveyard is filled up there should be narcomedas and a dread return and a deep analysis, in theory it should be as simple as cracking lotus and paying 3 life to win at that point.
if something does go strange i opted to put in 1 reanimate.
since this is vintage I put in inkwell leviathan as a tinker back up plan, i cannot use the colossus's because they shuffle back into the deck and I must have 0 library when comboing.
I put leveler in just as a second means to pulling off laboratory maniac should the situation not go as planned and I have tinker available.
what else should I add or maybe take out?
i'd like to get more use out of the green sun's if possible?

If your going to play the Pain lands, why not just play City of Brass?
Agreed. Pain lands are fine for two-color decks, where you can eventually get to tapping them for colorless mana in the later turns. But in a 3+ color deck, especially a combo deck where the game's going to be over quickly one way or the other, it just makes sense to go with a 5-color land.

I am no longer on MTGS staff, so please don't contact me asking me to do staff things. :|
i haven't played vintage in a while, i forgot a few staples, aside from cards i actually have. I'll add to the list as well as consultation.
however what do you think of the green sun's as an engine to get to hermit druid and protection from xantid? should i be running a full set of green sun's or cut them down since i have the other vintage tutors?

what's the problem with Blighsteel Colossus? deep analysis draws you two cards, so you can afford to have one card put back into your library when you use Hermit Druid

you do have a point there i over looked the situation of drawing 2 cards, my automatic reaction was anything that shuffles back into the library is bad, however 1 card out of 60 i suppose isn't a problem with deep as the main draw condition.

while that works under ideal circumstances it takes 3 whole turns to actually win, doing it this way you go off all in 1 turn. true it doesn't hit the ground running as fast as oath does, but at the same time I've got 8 hermit druids in my deck, plus tutors between hermit druid itself and green sun's zenith. oath is just 4 oaths in the deck plus tutors in contrast.

Why dont you just play doomsday and make the doomsday pile:
(TOP) Gitaxian probe; Ancestral Recall; Force of Will; Black Lotus; Laboratory maniac (Bottom)
That pile assumes that you have a blue card in your hand. If not, you can replace black lotus with flusterstorm if you already have enough mana.
been so busy lately i forgot my vintage projects at my other residence.
doomsday is another means to doing it sure, but it would be hard to fit into this green dominate shell i've constructeds.
i see your point about giving hermit druid haste, however i'm not enitely sure on how that would be best approached.
crossroads makes sense but it is otherwise a dead card in the deck.

This might be risky, but would Lich work in this deck?
i don't quite see what your getting at? i don't see the connect between it and laboratory maniac.

Why Inquisition of Kozilek over Thoughtseize or Duress?
Imperial Seal or even Worldly Tutor might be options to quickly assemble the IWinButton. (Druid)

That mean's you'd need
G for Crossroads
G1 for Hermit Druid (assuming you're holding it)
G to activate Hermit Druid
U1 to flashback Deep Analysis
Getting GGGU2 in one turn seems pretty unlikely for this deck.

I had considered hall of the bandit lord but that doesn't exactly work with green sun's zenith, however being a land makes it somewhat more practical in my mind.
