So, I am a casual player that was very intrigued by Hermit Druid because it is a cheap, but very powerful card. I did some research to find that Hermit Druid was banned in Legacy because it was used to do very broken things like the Narcomoeba/Dread Return/Dragon Breath/Sutured Ghoul combo that results in a turn 2 or turn 3 win upon activation of Hermit Druid.
Furthermore, it also occurred to me that Gladecover Scout makes for a realistic target for Wreath of Geists and/or Rancor upon activation of Hermit Druid, which means that there could be two lethal threats going at an opponent's face upon activation of the Druid.
Bruna is a decent replacement, with some distinct advantages. She will always be a 5/5 and inherently has invasion, while Ghoul can sometimes whiff (not enough creatures, not big enough, etc). She can also take advantage of any Enchantments you mill or have in hand, allowing more interesting interactions.
It's also good to note that she costs six mana, with easier colors, meaning that once in a blue moon you can just cast her (depending on the build).

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
Another possibility is to run multiple copies of Laboratory Maniac and throw in a copy of Treachery in order to untap and play Laboratory Maniac from your hand for the win.
I'd like to hear some feedback and also get some feedback on the sideboard because I have no idea what to be sideboarding against in vintage.
I'd rather go with murderous redcap over giant solifuge as not using the attack step is the best way to win in magic. Bruna uses the attack step sadly. Also takes up more space for the kill. So I don't really see a reason for including bruna over mimeoplasm + redcap + lord of extinction. The bruna kill requires bruna + dragon breath + double conscription/4 slots versus the 3 the mimeoplasm kill takes up.

It takes up only 3 slots, it doesn't target, it doesn't use the attack step, and your opponent better have 2+ removal spells (and they probably busted one on Hermit Druid #1) or they're history. (You tap Azami to draw a card and win, and then tap Lab Man to draw another card in response to removal.)
Currently the board is a transformational into Griselbrand Oath. With a couple of flex slots, I'm not sure though. By the way, interesting synergy, Angel brings back Hermit Druid to be pitched to Cabal Therapy if you need to. Though that's a little late for it. You could manage a second Dread Return though. Mostly winmore stuff, but interesting to note.

I think this list is pretty much on target. only things I might consider changing would be possibly squeezing in some Elvish spirit guides and mental missteps. especially the missteps, since it counters opposing Recalls, tutors, cabal therapies, mental missteps, and most removal (ie Bolt and STP)

What would you recommend cutting? I felt like Misstep would be a good include, perhaps instead of Daze? I'm not sure where they fit, but they seem like solid includes.

I have been doing some thinking and realized that the same thing can be done with Narcomoeba, Dread Return, Dragon Breath, Bruna, Light of Alabaster, and Wreath of Geists & Rancor or Eldrazi Conscription. The difference here, though, is that Bruna, Light of Alabaster can pull some the combo pieces from your hand if necessary whereas Sutured Ghoul cannot.
Furthermore, it also occurred to me that Gladecover Scout makes for a realistic target for Wreath of Geists and/or Rancor upon activation of Hermit Druid, which means that there could be two lethal threats going at an opponent's face upon activation of the Druid.
So my question is this: Which build is better and why? Is the build with Sutured Ghoul better or is the build with Bruna, Light of Alabaster better?
I was also curious to see if a decklist could be made to support the Bruna combo if it seemed viable to more of the experienced vintage players.

I also had some other combos in mind that I was considering:
One of the ways the deck can lose is if someone plays a Fog like effect. So it could be possible with Bridge From Below to put two copies of Dread Return into the graveyard and bring back both Bruna, Light of Alabaster and Laboratory Maniac on the same turn. In this situation Bruna, Light of Alabaster attacks and then you can tap the angel for the win if the angel is enchanted with Ocular Halo.

I actually prefer the Angel of Glory's Rise-Laboratory Maniac-Azami, Lady of Scrolls kill, since Stifle isn't really played at all in Vintage right now (but since Swords to Plowshares still is and Lightning Bolt is on the rise, Hapless Researcher is no substitute).
