Hmm. I was worried for a bit that it would be Ink-Eyes the desecrator (as she is referred to in the story). Then there would be Ink-Eyes the Desecrator and Nighteyes the Desecrator. Kinda glad they made it something different.
I would rather that it would be a ogre casue of synergy, but still.. the arts so cool it HAS to be a cool card ^^

In the story, Ink-Eyes is a ninja who gains the power of reanimation. As we know that all the ninjas have the ninjutsu ability and a "saboteur" ability, I think it would be fair to guess that you get to resurrect a creature from your opponent's graveyard every time you deal damage to him or her.
Oooh! I like the sound of that! I wonder if there's anything else.

Actually, that would be the best guess we can make at the moment methinks. I wonder how hefty the price will be, a resurrection a turn on a beefy creature (she is powerful after all) is pretty dandy...
maybe cause it's oni related (at least in the name)
it has something like
"if you control an oni <this> gains"
and then the
Whenever Ink Eyes deals combat damage to a Player you may put target creature from any graveyard into play under your control.
or maybe it gains something else like regeneration or something

"It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought." ~Aristotle
Hmm... I'll doubt that. The suffix "servant of oni" is only for flavor. Well, she got the rise-servants-from-death-with-my-red-eyes-power from the oni, but otherwise I don't expect very special features. Maybe fear? I would surely run away from any rat oozing red vapor from her eyes!
well.. true.. but who knows.. i mean.. the oni servants we know are the ogres.. that's why i posted that.. based on what i know about the ogre - oni relationship..

compare to nezumi graverobber and you got the manacost, i think it could be something like this:
Ink Eyes, ... 3BB
Creature - Ninja Rat
Ninjitsu 2BB
Whenever Ink Eyes deals combat damage to a Player you may put target creature from any graveyard into play under your control.
2/3
Besides the fact that it would have to be a creature card, I think it will be restricted to THEIR graveyard. The other possibility is that, instead of a saboteur effect, she reanimates creatures that she kills.

Some wonder why I carry 8 decks on me. The answer? I get tired of being boarded against in casual games, and 90% of the players I meet can't beat a jank deck I made to be tokens for a serious one.
I was thinking more along the lines of killing one of their creatures and returning it to play under your control. She did kill something and bring it back to life in the story. Or maybe she just gives you control of the creature, but I think it makes more sence flavorwise to put it in the graveyard and return gain control of it at end of turn or something like that.

There was a card in Scourge that did what you just said, Soul Collector. The ability is almost the same as Ninjutsu, Morph. You play it face-down, and they have to guess what it is, and as I remember, Soul Collector was not played at all.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I may be wrong.

Soul Collector was not played at all because the morph cost was triple black. It's a fair card, but it had no place in a mono-black suicide deck.

New Webcomic -- Genocide Man Life is funny. Death is funnier. Mass slaughter can be hilarious.
For a while I thought it would be how System Id suggested but you have to realize that the whole point of ninjutsu is to have your creature get through unblocked. Not to mention that all the ninja we've seen have abilities based on hitting a player, I really doubt it would be like that. If they wanted to give her two abilities on the other hand...
INk eyes should definitely have first strike, in the story (spoiler from story on wizards site, NOT FROM BOOK), she sounds like she has first strike, and then Kuro gives her even more power. So she should definitely first strike, seeing as she is a ninja and all. And i think you will have a choice between killing a creature that she damages and bringing a creature back from their graveyard, or perhaps both. Maybe she just control magics creatures your opponent controls and gives them the zombie spirit type, even that would be possible.

Also true but if you look at Deathcurse Ogre and Sokenzan Bruiser, for example, you'll see that not every ogre interacts with demons. Hmm... Servant of Oni seems to imply something of course :tongue2: Still, I think Ink Eyes should be an elegant card, I hope they don't pile up too many abilities on it, hence raising the CC. First strike and reanimation would be enough for me
Ehm, anyway, I'm going to play Ink-Eyes no matter what it does, even if relegated to a janky casual deck. She has perhaps my favorite art of any nonland card in Champions or Betrayers so far.
I'm NOT AT ALL ABLE to build Madness, since I'm already building one for my partner in crime. Before you suggest a deck, check if it is madness. If the deck you were going to suggest IS in fact Madness, instead of posting, discard 2 cards.

Probably going to be a preview card on the official website, though, so I'm sure we'll find out.

Nitpick, it would have to say "target creature CARD". Other than that, sounds good. I would be kinda disappointed if she only had 2 power though...
