Enchantment Creature - Boar
Creatures you control have Hexproof.
Creatures your opponents control lose Hexproof and can't have or gain Hexproof.
6/5
I can't tell if this is annoying because it gives your opponent mass hexproof (when they have it) or awesome because it shuts down hexproof for your opponent (when you have it).
For people who think every 6+ cost card is "made for EDH", this is what a card built for EDH looks like!
EDH decks rejoice. I know I do.
as for standard players, enjoy my sig.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
Wow... this plus Avacyn, Angel of Hope is pretty nasty!
Tooth and Nail strikes again!
Be sure to get siguarda out there too.

Also, I just realized this is the Calydonian Boar. Let the hunt begin!

I'm sorry, but could you try adding something to the conversation? All I've seen you do for the last week is complain that the spoiled thing isn't the UB god.
As for the card, this doesn't seem too bad? This looks like a perfectly serviceable curve topper in Limited, given that you have something to beat along with it. Not first-pick material, but not horrible either.
The problem in Limited mostly comes down to "8 Mana is still far out of reach for play." this is actually a much more servicable Standard card so long as Green has all the tools to make Turboramp function. Which... it almost does?
The issue is all the other decks that make turboramping really hard to do (like Devotion decks).

Expecting certain Dimir fans not to complain is like expecting the sun to not rise in the East.

Considering all the waiting I've been having to do for quite a few things the last several weeks, I'll ***** all I want to. Not to mention I actually did comment on the spoiled card itself. It's something I am not looking forward to having to deal with across the table from me as it takes away a big part of what makes my general as good as he is, and makes dealing with my opponent's board significantly more difficult.
Remember, this is uncommon, not rare, so it can only push power level too far before it begins warping Limited. Granting all your creatures hexproof is quite strong - and putting it on a body, even stronger. I think this is a fair cost.
Also, do note that it's difficult to kill a 6/5 in combat in Limited, and having hexproof makes it difficult to take down with spells. In Limited, there's not many more options to take care of it, so making it difficult to play in Limited seems only fair.

I'd pick this earlier than turn 13 (probably around 8 or 9, as long as I'm running a fair amount of green).
Sure it's incredibly expensive (and you probably won't be picking any other high cost cards after it), but it basically says "if your opponent didn't pull a board wipe, your creatures cannot be killed except through combat damage," which is REALLY useful
Creatures that cost 8 mana are usually not where you want to be in Limited; sure, I've drafted decks based around trying to resolve Ashen Rider in the last few months, but it is exceptionally high in power and sometimes its fun to do crazy thing. This card doesn't really appeal to me on that level, so I don't imagine I will ever want to play it in either Sealed or Draft.
And at 8 mana in Standard, you can get crazier things than this. I can understand them not wanting to overdue this effect, so let's just assume this will be the wort of the cycle and move on.
Meeeh...I think I'd take Asceticism over this any day.
Uh, you think? LOL. That is a rare, this is an uncommon. Not the most powerful card out there but it will have its uses in Limited and Boar tribal decks

There's no reason to ever play this card in EDH. Asceticism, for one, would like a word.
8 CMC standard unplayables are only EDH fodder if they're taking up a rare slot, geez.
I guess if there's a ton of spot removal in this limited format (weird) this guy might be good, but I can't help thinking there are much better ways to top your curve.

And damn, so much for having a degree of consistency across a cycle. 3 cmc for the white guy and then this? Honestly...
I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.

I figured it'd be overcosted, but at round 6 or something... 8 is just stupid, even in EDH this unplayable.
At least if it was a Beast it MIGHT have been good for tribal but eww... (then again I don't think Onslaught is legal modern? Wish it was)

Besides, the card is such a boar.

Draft my Peasant Cube.
Asceticism doesn't protect itself, doesn't make opponent's creatures lose hexproof, and isn't a creature.
There are tons and tons of ways to cheat this guy out in EDH. Creatures are cool like that.
for being uncommon.
