Am also hoping that this is a joke. If we were ever to have a set in Segovia, though, this would be a neat novelty product.
Edit: also, can we take a moment to appreciate Outland Colossus in the second picture? Not only because it’s a teensy tiny giant but because the counters you get for reaching renown would take up more space than the card itself...
Edit: just read through the full article. The two pictures above WERE an April fools day joke from several years ago. Wizards apparently DID created teensy tiny Jace vs. Vraska decks. No words on whether they’d be mass-marketed.
Edit Edit: in retrospect, the fact that Origins cards have the wrong set symbol should’ve been an obvious tip-off.
Spector, please take down the images from the April's Fools day joke from 4 years ago. If this product is real then it hurts the facts and it also doesn't show what is being talked about.
Personally, I think this is real. I looked up the Super Impulse brand and they seem to specialize in making teensy versions of other toys. Tiny Pac-Man arcade cabinet... tiny etch-a-sketch... tiny crayola crayons... something like this wouldn’t be out of place.
If it really is a fake, props to the prankster for finding the one company that would realistically do this.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

I was about to say I've seen the tiny toy stuff like this now and then in toys shops.

Even without the context of the April Fool's article, this product uses the old pre-Dominaria MTG logo, which they've basically retired at this point.
But the biggest red flag is that they include goggles in the product. That's way too silly to be taken seriously.
I'm genuinely curious how rare those mini Jace vs. Vraska decks will be, though.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Soo True.
If it was true i could see edh ppl getting them if they had reprints of reserved list cards (a way to go around the not reprint police, but if this was real then wotc would just reprint colossal dreadmaw and call it a day )
This would be a good way to go around the reserve list policy... Sort of cool looking, not sure I would play (or buy) these cards because they are so small. But a commander tower would look funny as hell.

And someone, somewhere, will get a crowdfunding project started to make "adapter" sleeves so EDH players can play the mini P9 wih their full size cards. Each P9 would then be worth about $200 at a minimum.

Id it's not just a handful of "new" cards and 95% reprints, I would buy it. None of it would be legal for any format anyways.
IIRC, a WotC employee had some made years ago. Can't remember the site that talked about it though....

It’s the old font for mtg before it was change to the dominaria one
But it was probably a joke product they did back then
