What we have here is a radkos goblin rush deck. It started as mono-red with Zo-Zu the Punisher at the helm and I can't help wondering if I'll go back to that. Landing Zo-Zu every game on turn 3 is pretty powerful especially if you can get Basilisk Collar out. In terms of a fast aggro deck it definitely works. But putting either Grenzo, Dungeon Warden or Alesha, Who Smiles at Death at the helm gives the deck reach for after you burn through your hand of gobbos and can't find that Wheel of Fortune. As far as which Leader is better, I'm not sure, I need to play some games with both. Grenzo you land on turn two and start spinning as soon as you have spare mana. I've left out Reito Lantern because I'm thinking I'd rather play a two drop gobbo than an artifact that needs goblins in the graveyard to do anything, and it costs 5 to activate lantern and Grenzo. I'll probably try it and see. Alesha seems more aggressive, and I like running her as a rakdos leader. If I added white (which I've thought about) I can't help thinking it would slow the deck down regardless of the mana base. There are plenty of times you want double red on turn two and a 3 color deck would challenge that.
Lyzolda, the Blood Witch seems another viable option for giving some reach to the deck (and card draw), I'll probably try her out too.
Check the deck below and give me your thoughts as I'm still trying to pin down the best strategy here.
I think Reito Lantern would too randomly be good. The deck is at its best if you're just overrunning folks. That being said Basilisk Collar doesn't seem great, and the chances of having it combined with Sharpshooter seem rare.

How I know I should build a deck:
I think Reito Lantern would too randomly be good. The deck is at its best if you're just overrunning folks. That being said Basilisk Collar doesn't seem great, and the chances of having it combined with Sharpshooter seem rare.
I've been curious what Alesha could add to the deck with a white splash. Boros Charm, but most sweepers are like Toxic Deluge or Drown in Sorrow. That would make Mardu Ascendancy really good, which is a pretty solid combo with Shared Animosity. You could also then play Rise of the Hobgoblins and Goblin Legionnaire. You could also board Crackling Doom in against Geist.
There are a few more hobgoblins that cost 3 and Boros Recruit, but I don't think they are worth playing.
