Akalah, please refrain form posting things like that

    It's

A.) Not even Death Shadow Jund

It's completely taking focus off deck and navigating discussion away from the actual deck. You built some kind of BUG deck, I'd go over there and ask for input. Outside of having Death's Shadow and Tarmogoyfs the deck is completely unrecognizable.

I suppose people reacted the same when white was first splashed to jund for lingering souls... that being said... You do realise this thread is DEATH SHADOW ZOO right? and that some of us are still looking to take the deck in opposite directions?

I'm actually starting to hope for a splintering of this thread before the myopia kills the original deck. Call it ShadowJund or something.

It's not really Death's shadow that won, it's more Jund with some Death's shadows ;-)

I'm not fond of the fact that Jund has taken over Deaths Shadow like an alien parasite... Is there possibly a version of the old combocentric DS that's still viable?

Burn is my secondary outta nowhere deck... lol.

If burn is a real problem for you... a couple if dispels in ur SB won't hurt I guess. They stop the 2 for 1 burn spells. Mizzium skin also stops them but can protect ur while team in a pinch as the utility is amazing and it's seldom a dead card.

Well it's been a while since I popped in... busy with work and all that.

Congrats all! Sigh... going Tier 1 is bitter sweet for me. The hard work 's paid off but it's not without it's consequences. We're on the radar now...Let's give me a good show!

So... have we totally replaced TBM with Harry? (harbinger? Need to 'snag' me a playset. Lol

    - Be careful with boarding in Stony Silence against Merfolk. They often side out Aether Vial (especially on the play).

As a merfolk player this made me smile... lol. Always good to see how players of diff archetypes view you.

Vial isnt terrible as i play merfolk so im used to it i guess, but I forgot i actually pulled it when i pulled flikerwisp. Currently 2-3 cloudshift in the 75 seem to be doing ok

What is the two for one trick with Tidehollow Mentioned in the original post?

There's nothing you can do to create it.

If your opponent kills Tidehollow Sculler while the "EXILE A CARD FROM TARGET PLAYER'S HAND" is still on the stack, he dies and his "RETURN THE EXILED CARD" trigger goes off before he has ever taken a card, thus, he just exiles their card and never has a chance to return it.

So essentially, if your opponent has 1 removal spell in hand, you get to take it, and then sculler sits in play.
But if your opponent fires off that one removal spell (as if they were playing against Vendilion Clique) then they've just permanently exiled a card.

I'm testing aether vial, Restoration angel and cloudshift for repeat value... it happens when im not busy flickering a finks or rhino.

Hey there... I didnt know this deck was a thing untill a friend commented he saw an non-rock junk deck similar to what i built to go up against pod since it was pwning my meta! I was trying to find a deck with a good matchup and i liked wgb rock but was lacking Lilli and a few tidbits like goyfs. So i came up with a 'podless pod' since i loved the value it played for which was the reason pod was so good.

For consistency I had to run multiples since it wasn't a toolbox...but i couldnt get my hands on everything i needed (Hence the 2 Rhino rather than 4). So i thought why not run my flicker package from DnT/hatebears: 4 aether vial 4 flickerwisp 3 Restoration angel. Its an insane amount of fun to flicker a rhino a few times... or a finks when your on the ropes.

The lists im seeing here look great(probably better than mine lol). So ill be trying out the no dork list by tomorrow or i may just get some noble hierarch... i guess. Im in love with WGB since i started playing Doran EDH (teying annafenza currently). Heres my jank list for the sake of it... lol.

Dont be too harsh it was fun to play!

    Thanks for reading...

I've been playing alot with a friend of mine against his burn deck and I've been finding Master of Waves is just too slow and by the time I get him out he just gets bolted, should I just swap him out with Kira, Great Glass-Spinner? Heres his deck list

    4 Lightning Bolt
    4 Vexing Devil
    4 Rift Bolt
    4 Shard volley
    4 SkullCrack
    4 HellSpark elemental
    4 Magma jet
    4 Lava spike
    4 Spark elemental
    4 Searing Blaze
    4 Keldon Marauders
    16 Mountain

also I know this is in the wrong primer but he wants me to ask if adding black to his burn deck would be advantageous.

I don't think splashing black is a bad idea, even if it's just for Bump in the Night and some sideboard cards. The fetches required for splashing black would also enable Grim Lavamancer, one of the few really effective ways burn decks can have some inevitability if they fizzle out a bit. Also, you should tell your friend that Goblin Guide is one of the most important cards for Modern Burn. Unless he's restricted by budget, he should really find a way to fit in 4x Goblin Guide and 2x Grim Lavamancers if he's splashing back with fetches. If I had to pick something to drop for them, I'd say Spark Elemental and Vexing Devil are the weakest cards in his deck.

Not exactly... Id go -2 shard volley, 4 is too many from exp. Go up tp 18 land, cut the magma jets for the guides and add 2 Lavamancers

If I splashed I'd probably go for Black. Thoughtseize and Bob are just rreeallly nasty in our deck. Sadly it's also a really expensive splash however

Im on mono blue now but i like Uw as well. As far as Ub is concerned... Well i dont have Bobs... but i think Thoughtseize and NOT PAYING 4 LIFE FOR EVERY DISMEMBER IS APPEALING.

    Boggles: SB chalice or Hibernation?

Also... i find myself facing a ridiculously fast nivmagus/ delver/ hopolite/ kiln feind deck. I pray this never catches on. Wins on turn 2 or 3 or something like that by pitching phryexian mana spells, assault strobe at the hopolite which gets bigger due to heroic... and eating them with the niv. It also runs pacts (negation, etc) suggestions for dealing with this abomination are welcome. I guess mulling to a chalice is correct but thinking about the matchup makes me sick... it races affinity, and infect with ease... Need to order 2 more CotV i guess.

What are peoples thoughts on Wake Thrasher? I know it was stated that he's pretty redundant now, but vialling him in eot, untapping half a dozen things and swinging for a whole bunch not only seems pretty cool, but could have the element of surprise now a lot of new modern players havent seen him run out.

Hes's painfully bad against UWR... maybe if electrolyze was never printed.
