dude wtf, watcher of the spheres is super efficient??? what a bear holy moly.

Everything okay with you? I never said it is super efficient, but a 2/2 flyer for 2 isnt that bad as a baseline in my books. I think I like my current UW options better, but nevertheless it is a card to consider dependent on your cube dependent on your configuration.

man, one problem with this set is that i feel like i need to completely disassemble my cube and start again. there's just so many archetypes that work now, it's crazy.

That is a problem I like to have ;-). But looking at your cube I think you already support most of the regular archetypes.

Tolarian Kraken: I like the effect, especially with all the new additions that care about drawing cards, but I think the card is too expensive.
Falconer Adept: Nice effect, but the a 2/3 vanilla for 4 is just bad.
Watcher of the Spheres: This is a very strong card especially if you support UW flyers. Comes down early as a 2/2 which makes the cost reduction ability very relevant. Also nice with Lingering Souls, Migratory Route, Battle Screech etc..

I am not sure about the Conclave Mentor. I really like build-around / payoff cards that are good on their own. Can the Mentor be good in a cube that doesnt specifically support the +1/+1 archetype but only runs good cards that coincidentally give +1/+1 counters such as the Good-Fortune Unicorn?

The Concentrated Veteran is a trixky one. Adanto Vanguard is one of the best white tow drops we have. Like the Vanguard, the Veteran protects itself from most removal bar exile stuff and -x/-x but discarding a card is much worse than paying life (at leats in aggressive decks). On the other hand, the Veteran is a 3/1 also on defense.
The question is, can we make use of the free discard outlet? I dont think the Veteran can cross-pollinate in Worm Harvest sytel decks as white as a color does not offer enough support. Besides ots role as an aggressive creature, the Veteran might perform as an Oona's Prowler in a BW reanimator shell?

The cube may not be the most cohesive thing ever but I definitely disagree that there are "no clear archetypes". Have you tried u/w flicker?

Sure my statement might have been hyperbolic, but more often than not you are drafting and playing against a 3-4 color good stuff deck. Maybe this is exactly what the creator aimed for, which is absolutely fine. I drafted the cube 4 times and often felt I had to take the generic good card because the synergy cards / pay off cards were missing. For example, why are there four to five additonal (!) removal spells in Orzhov and no Maw of the Obzedat or Hidden Stockpile? As a consequence, at least for me, drafting doesnt feel rewarding or exciting and the matches are often grindy like in a dragon cube. But then again, there is more than one way to build a cube and luckily perferences are individual.

Besides my critique regarding the cube I noticed that Vivid Lands are really overpowered. Is this a general phenomenon or is it due to the nature of the Amaz Cube that they feel so overpowered as (together with Signets) they allow these multicolor good stuff decks?

After playing a few more rounds I am the opinion that this cube is just bad. As pointed out by calibretto, this cube is just a pile of cards. There are no clear archetypes and the multicolor cards dont pull clearly in a direction. It is sad that this cube was chosen as it does not represent a well designed peasant cube at all.

I like the Whale. Dont underestimate the static ability. Also, its a better Sleight of Hand as the second hand goes to the graveyard.
Stormcaller is way worse than Ghitu Slinger as it cant hit creatures.

I heard that there is Amaz's Peasant Cube on Magic online atm has anyone checked it out?

Unfortunately there is so much multicolor that the packs are almost dead after 7-8 picks and only 3+ color good stuff decks are viable...

Did anyone had the opportunity to have some more playtesint with the deck and specific cards?
What do we think about Skull Prophet? He ramps and thus can be played in any BG Rock deck and he is a repeatable source of self mill.
    Is Spider Spawning still underperforming?

A cycle that nobody talkes so far are the fastlands (seachrome coast), which would be especially interesting for aggro decks.

Also, what do we think about the trioms? Probably only worth the upgrade to trilands if you run fetchlands, which might than offer too much nonsense fixing?

Thank you Al_Z_Heimer for your response.
What are your guys and girls experience with the following cards. I am updating my cube and am not sure about some cuts/additions. Since the list of cards is rather long, just a grading from A-F would be fine. Thank you

Does anybody still run the green hexproof / aura package? If so, what are thoughts about it our in case you cut the package from your cube, why?

I think if you're not enjoying the peasant format with its bad fixing, you should probably just be looking to build a lower power level legacy cube. If you're willing to break the peasant restriction for fixing, why not also break it to allow for decent rares?

While I get what you are saying, I think breaking the rule for fixing is not the same as breaking the rule for "real cards" (the addition of Fetchlands is debatable as these do more than just fixing). The goal with adding rare lands is to let players play their cards on curve more frequently especially for XX mana costs. I dont add an additional effect as I would with inclusion of a white wrath, I let my players play the C/U effect more reliable. I just want to create an environment that lets you cast your C/U cards on time and that also makes drafting lands rewarding. Lets say I draft Boros aggro, I just do not want to take a Boros dual that etb tapped and this is just a dilemma in cube design we face at the C/U level.
I think we can all agree that some dual land cycles are printed at rare not because of their powerlevel, but because of selling-packs reasons. I really wish, Wizards would make a cube product (like a Commander Set), in which Painlands or Checklands are printes as uncommons.

I know this thread is very old, but I think the topic is not. Does anybody have new experience with rare lands in Peasant Cube.
I just hate the land situation in peasant cube, since not only most lands come into play tapped, but also picking lands doesnt feel rewarding or interesting at all, which is something I really miss in our environment.
Basically I am thinking about two solutions...
I.) Adding Fetchlands and Shocklands. While this feels very much like powered or unpowered cube, mana fixing is covered with this solution. Plus, this adds subtle complexity as Fetchlands shuffle the deck and thereby support iconic magic cards (Brainstorm , Top), they go to the graveyard for Worm Harvest and Delve shenanigans, they double trigger landfall, etc..
II) Adding duals that feel more peasant such as the Glacial Fortress or Adarkar Wastes. They will get the job done, but they dont offer any synergy compared to the fetchlands.
@ArBoR4817: Do you still cube with the fetchlands or were you able to generate more experience with them in a cube environment?
