Allows searching for wastes. and maybe one day we will get a cycle/set of wastes+other land types.

Fix standard? stop printing only powerful effects at rare and mythic.

a deck shouldn't be 90% rares from the standard legal cards.

as long as the effect making the copy specifies the spell is cast, not just copied, then yes you do get a copy off of ascension.

interestingly, if you have bolt imprinted on scepter, and another bolt is in your graveyard, your cron activations will also charge ascension if it didn't already have 2 counters.

Anyone Else noticing the nice synergy with trample creatures?



if a trample creature is blocked, this will exile the blocker. when combat damage step occurs, it will treat the attacker as effectively unblocked.(rules wise it will be blocked however, if there are any standard legal cards thatcare)

i agree with the card draw earlier. the trick is that there isn't much that i feel is worth playing, at lower slots.

Especially would like a creature that draws ETB, but haven't seen anything like that.

Read the Bones is Solid, but with 12 shocklands, and few early plays, 2 life and 2 cards feels like it is too much, i feel like i'd prefer to have a creature in the 3 drop. maybe a keyrune.

Expected play style is to scry and dimir charm to pitch, or pitch enemy scry.

If Unburial Rites was legal, this deck would be different. but that is the best animation spell we've seen in a long while.

The words "your upkeep", here, mean, "every upkeep on your turn"; therefore, the ability will trigger at the beginning of every upkeep step on "your turn", but not any other upkeep (C.R. 603.2). If the ability were to restrict when it triggers, it would use the word "next" (for example, Pact of Negation) or an intervening "if" clause (for example, the echo ability [C.R. 702.29a] or Ana Sanctuary) (C.R. 603.4).

Very cheap. Doesn't stink to draw more than one even though legendary. Can help recover from board wipe when transformed. This is a pretty awesome card.
