I played 5 games pre board and 3 or so games post board to no avail. The massive amounts of removal and Blood Baron was too much for me.

Now that esper is running upwards of 4 blood barons i honestly havent played reanimator for about a month now. Im waiting for midrange to pick back up. Right now im playing jund aggro...but thats a different story

Are you running the smiter version or the other?

This is more aggro, but ive been crushing local events with it for a few weeks now.

This list is ridiculously fast. Won against an Esper and Mono B matchups in less than 10 minutes the other night.

No one is playing this deck right now because there are a ton of answers to it's key components. Don't get me wrong, I love reanimator, but it's not going to be Tier one until after the rotation when Ooze, R.I.P. Syncopate, D-Sphere, etc are gone.

This deck is a huge dog to Esper and isn't a Tier One deck. A lot of the time it just gets blown out by any control deck.

Deathrite is not good bc you want early game ramp, not late game ramp

About 95% of the time you will be racing blood baron. There will be few chances you can actually block and kill it.


And deathrite shaman is not good in this deck

There is honestly nothing to replace obzedat with. Do you best to get your 2 back fast.

Race blood baron out of junk and overload the board vs esper and force them to wrath their own.

Ive only played this matchup once and i forget how i sideboarded but i beat him 2-0



I might be going to an scg super iq this weekend in Tampa. If i do ill be switching back to the smiter version given the rise in esper/aggro decks this past week.

Shadowborn demon slows them down enough to where you can keep up in the fatty department. Once you land and Angel of Serenity that is just game over

I played centaur healer...it was garbage. I gained my 3 life and watched it be unable to block or anything else against mono red and i died shortly thereafter...id rather suit up a troll and be aggressive.
Gaining 3 life is nothing when they are fanaticing you for 10+

Mender is meh...never liked it. Its obviously a turn to slow and id rather draw something other than it 99% of the time.
