I agree with Hiddene. While I'm all for more people, I think that 1v1 is a better format for the creator clash. Round 1 being a free-for-all would allow everyone to have the opportunity to participate while still allowing the clash to ultimately be 1v1. I think having some 1v1 and others 1v1v1 makes it less exciting (unless we allow exactly 24, in which case 8 pods of 1v1v1 would also be fine by me for round 1, with it going down to either 16 or 8 after the 1st round).
In general, you can redirect any noncombat damage that would assign damage to a player to one of his or her planeswalkers ("target opponent" is still assigning damage to a player).
However, that's not what's happening here. Bump in the Night is not damaging your opponent, it is making him lose life. While in most cases damage causes loss of life (except for infect or corner cases like Worship), they are not equivalent. Since Bump in the Night isn't dealing damage, there is nothing to redirect to a planeswalker.
Correct. After he declares the Recruit as a blocker, flanking will trigger. Once the flanking trigger resolves, his creature will be a 0/0 and put into the graveyard when SBAs are checked. Since your Cavalry is now a blocked creature w/o trample without anything actually blocking it, it won't deal any combat damage, so you will gain no life.
This is from the only plane that I have ever started designing, which only happened a few weeks ago for the MCC. It takes place on the plane of Farak'hath, where a decades long war has existed between the ferret people Farak, and their sworn enemies the Manuss, or mongoose people. There are other tribes as well that remain impartial in the war (at least on the surface). EDIT: This is from the second set, Fervor of Farak'hath, not the first set, since it happens after the tide is beginning to turn in one direction.

Search your library for a Ferret permanent card with the same converted mana cost and put it onto the battlefield. If you do, shuffle your library. When the war against the Manuss was driven back far enough from Farak'oln, the Farak devised a way to quickly gather reinforcements as needed.

In retrospect, I kinda wish I had thought of this earlier.
Assuming that Karn, Silver Golem is his commander, you may not. In order to add mana to your mana pool with Exotic Orchard, the game checks to see what replacement effects apply to your opponent's lands. Even though the luck counter says "You can add any color mana", since Karn is colorless, this ability is replaced with "Add 1 to your mana pool". The Orchard will see this, and since it can't produce colorless mana (per the Orchard's rulings), it will not be able to generate any mana with its ability.
No, you may not. Isochron Scepter instructs you to cast the card, and transmute is an ability. Therefore, the Scepter does not provide you the opportunity to activate transmute, since the card is only cast.
In addition, since part of the cost of transmute is to discard the card, you will not be able to discard the copy anyways, since it is never in your hand.

Well.......**** i got it backwards........Lets pretend this was one of the things that should've appeared in Planechase 2012 for the multiplayer theme, shall we
It is a kind-of-combo with Stranglehold, but at that point, it's not necessarily worth the investment of the extra card over a regular Time Warp.
This may be slightly off topic, but still relative and still a rulings thing...
If a trampler with deathtouch (lets say he's 10/10) is blocked by a 5/5 vanilla creature. He must assign 5 dmg to the vanilla creature before trampling over to the defending player right?
If he's a 10/10 deathtouch, trample, first strike, can he simply assign 1 dmg to the blocker and 9 to the defending player?
Doesn't matter if he has first strike or not. If it has deathtouch, 1 damage is considered lethal, but you can assign more to the creature if you want to.
EDIT: Whoops. Didn't realize that I was on a 1/2 hour old page. Looks like epeeguy already answered your question.

Good call! I changed its name at the last second, but not in its rules text.
