    3. Tribal Archetypes need more support. The tribes of Innistrad are one of the selling points of the plane. However, Shadows only really supported one tribe. That being Humans. Tribes like werewolves, zombies and such need more and better support. I want to see these archetypes in standard. They really didn't get great support. Hopefully EMN will change that.

    We will be getting more tribal stuff;

    ... At the same time, the Zombie mechanic of eating creatures out of your graveyard worked great in Limited, but was never even close to being in Constructed. In an ideal world, we could line up what the tribes were doing in Limited and still find a way for that to be the Constructed deck. I don't think we ended up getting there 100% in Shadows over Innistrad, but I think it comes pretty close—or at least it will by the end of the block. This may be a spoiler, but Eldritch Moon will have additional Humans, Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, and Spirits for your decks.

    There's not enough evidence to claim that it's happening to all werewolves just yet. So far, we've only had that sole exception.

    I am not saying that it happens to all, just that it's possible. And if it is possible (assuming more than one single case), it is just a matter of time when a ghoulcaller or a stitcher hears about it...
    Another question is how does the current weirdness interact with zombification. It might very well make it impossible.

    Only thing we know really is the madness is not effect the zombies;
    http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/chasing-shadows-part-2-2016-03-21
    One of the new flavors is that Zombies are the one tribe not affected by the madness that has fallen on the world.

    So you are saying that oldwalkers were simple characters?
    Yep, all those oldwalkers from the Urza saga were such a simple one sided dimensional characters.

    No I was asking you, why you thought Nahiri was such a simple character. Now if you meant her motivations and such are simple then I understand your point better, but to me it is a contraction to claim Nahiri is a simple character but has had enough characterization that you can claim she is more humanized then oldwalkers where.

    I also don't like how you twisted my word since I tried to keep a neutral toned since I don't think Nahiri is blameless or innocent (after seeing the, tiny bits we seen so far, her plan hurting so many people) and am trying to have a healthy discussion with you.

    Nice try, I'll give you that.
    Nahiri is far more humanized than any oldwalker ever was. There is no depth to her character in comparison to almost any old waker...

    Oxymoron much? If they humanized her more then any oldewalker how is she such a simple character?

    She fits the neowalker mentality in any way.

    I'd say that is subjective. She lived thousands of years in a rock cocoon becoming a godly in her own way. She talks about not being able to relate to her fellow or anymore.

    But her students learned and moved on. Her lovers aged and died. Birth followed birth, over and over, and one funeral followed another, and eventually she couldn't remember why it mattered…any of it....

    ...she had sat down, all those years ago, and closed her eyes. And felt the world move on, all its people desperately carrying on as if their brief lives meant anything. Now, she stayed on Zendikar because she couldn't think of a reason to go anywhere else.

    How long had it been? It didn't matter. Why could it possibly matter?...

    Her actions are as plain as day. There is no ''bigger picture'' involved with such a simple character.
    She is evil and she is out for revenge.

    We don't know her whole plan yet. Well many have made some very good guesses, (and honestly I'm thinking what Jay predicting is true)but nothing had been set in stone, so saying there is no bigger picture not a fact.

    Maro has said there is a reason for her to beWR and not pure R which a character just wanting revenge would be.

    The point that I'm trying to make here is that odlwalkers are not ''villains''. They are way above the concepts of good and evil. They may be seen as evil in the eyes
    of other mortals but that is mostly because those mortals can't see the full spectrum of why is a planeswalker doing what he is doing and what consequences will that
    have for the rest of the multiverse

    Then by that logic, Nahiri isn't morality reasonable for her actions. While she is now a new walker because of the mending, she has only had a year of being one, so mentally she is still an oldwalker who just is massively depowered. Unlike SOrin or Bolas she hasn't had a lot of time to being mortal again.

    Speaking of walkers, though. Arlinn Kord became an archmage, but besides turning into a werewolf, I don't recall seeing her perform any magic in her flashback story. Do I recall correctly? If so, is archmage just a title, or does it mean the person is a bigtime mage? If Kord is a bigtime mage, why didn't she do any major magical feats (of which I recall none, though they may exist)?

    I got she was using magic in her wolf form to make her self more powerful, basically doing either of her +1s. Her -1 in her wolf form implies she can do some kind of burn magic.

    Talking about oldwalkers though...

    FINALLY an oldwalker (that's not named Bolas or Liliana) that paid attention the noticeable drop in their power after the Mending. I still find it awkward she only realized it after she was free from the Helvault, so did the Helvault maintain its power even though Sorin had to be affected by the Mending, because I find it hard to think Sorin did use part of his oldwalker power to sculpt the Helvault (and Avacyn), considering it could seal another oldwalker in it.

    I always found it odd that Ugin never felt the difference although he literally came out of a similar scenario, especially when Bolas could feel it, and neither did Ob-Nixilis when he regained his spark (unless he got verbal word of it when he wasn't a planeswalker and was already mentally prepared for it...)

    Ob mentioned it when he got his spark back. Though he knew already that planeswalkers where weaker, and he was happy since that many a lot of planes where now defenseless without their godlike planeswalker protecters.

    I already guess what Ugin figured it out himself and that like Bolas he still really powerful so he didn't take it as roughly as the more mortal Nahiri as a Kor

    Dang this was a great story and I very liked the choice they made with showing each characters POV. I defiantly want to see how this all ends and how much of wild cards characters like Jace, Liliana or Tamiyo (though honest I I'm thinking she might leave Innistrad instead of dealing with WhAtEvEr is coming into the plane, since that seems her nature, but will tell Jace she will give him and the Gatewatch info later if he lives, which will lead to Kaladesh)

    I don't necessarily think Sorin is right or the good guy in this situation or any of that but Nahiri definitely isn't either.

    ^^^This for me too. While I do think Nahiri is the "victim" between them, what she is doing is just as bad as what Sorin did her (which might be the point) making her no better then him now.....but I do hope they both live :-:

    Someone at Wizards (can't remember who) confirmed that Elves once existed on Innistrad, but they're now extinct (no reason given for this extinction). There was no mention of whether elven werewolves could've existed, as far as I remember.

    Irc it was on the Brady on the old wizard forms and it wasn't totally canon or how canon it was is up for debate, even more now that Brady is no long the head of creative. Fun fact it also said werewolves where created from a curse from when the elves went extinct.

    Maybe just add a clause that may or may not cause them to enter tapped. Maybe;

    Naya land
    Land
    ~ ebt tapped unless you control a red or white permanent.
    Tap: Add G
    Tap: Pay 1 life. Add R or W to your mana pool.

    I wonder if we will ever get a walker from Lorwyn/Shadowmoor and/or Shandalar.

    Well in gothic horror like Dracula, vampires are somewhat weaken by the sun but not out right killed. It just kinda strips them of their supernatural aspects and leaves them as powerful as normal humans.

    I'm guessing Innistrad vampires are somewhat similar, being less powerful during the day.

It's also unlikely, given the inspiration of the gods, that they would all collectively work together to combat the enemy, either. Each of them is fickle, selfish and meddling with long histories of rivalries and allies, etc. that there's no telling how the Theros pantheon would respond to such threats. The Eldrazi were proven capable of being ended with leylines and enough mana - both of which the gods of Theros can control there with ease. Nylea could easily serve as Nissa, and Purphoros could easily serve as Chandra. Thassa could hold off swarms just as Kiora did with Thassa's own Bident. Heliod already has indestructible like Gideon does. I mean a select handful of gods could take down the two titans at that rate if they were set on it.

    Who says Theros has the mana to do that? We been hammered in that mana on Zendikar mana is wild and powerful, which is why the eldrazi there trapped there and why Ob went there to try and remove his curse. Theros seem pretty average in that aspect. Also it was Ugin who came up with the pattern to trap and drag in the eldrazi so it is unlikely the gods would know that specific pattern.

    New Phyrexia - would corrupt and change Theros, perhaps the gods indirectly through changing the dreams of those corrupted into foul ones, but New Phyrexia isn't really a brute force sort of enemy so it's more about change than defeat.

    Which means the gods would still "lose".

    Bolas - Bolas plans well, but on a level of brute force he's not going to match 15 legendary immortal mages that control the entirety of a plane's mana. He might get clever in his approach, but Kruphix will immediately know everything Bolas knows upon entering the plane.

    14 dude. And other have pointed out how Bolas would win against the gods. Even if Kruphix knew everything about Bolas, doesn't mean he could stop him.

    To me, he(/she/it)is a dementia caster that went to far. Hence, from Dominaria. But it's pure speculation.
    Other planes could have dementia casters, too, which is the problem. Ashiok's outfit could be from anywhere, too, and I suspect his 'home' will be wherever fits most appropriately in the future.

    Honestly I hope we never find out about any of Ashok's background.
