I'd agree that none of the guilds can really be considered properly "Good". Remember that during the original Ravnica the leadership of every guild was plotting to take over the plane.
Whoa Razi, Borborygmos, Mat'Selesnya(Chorus of the Conclave if you don't count her as the actual leader), Niv-Mizzet, The Ghost Council. None of these leaders were trying to take over the plane. Sure Mat'Selesnya's guild was used by Savra to further her own plans of planer domination but that was with out their knowledge. So only half the guilds were trying to take over the plane, while the other half we're trying to stop them, not caring, or being unwitting pawns.
The chorus had been secretly enchanting the rest of Ravnica into a trace to join Selesnya and then the chorus was were killed by a lynch mob, which is why Selesnya fell apart until Trostani took over.
To be fair you could argue that the The Ghost Council has been plotting to take over the plane since before Ravnica 1.
The leonin Ajani has faced an immensely powerful foe, a fellow world-walker and a dragon. He is unfathomably ancient, even to me. He seeks infinite power and immortal life. His plots span worlds and centuries, and he will spare nothing and no one who stands in his way.
Bolas might not seem as destructive as the other big bads of magic but he has the means to destroy worlds.
Thanks for the punctuation correct, guys. That completely changes the meaning of the lines lol.
So, probably no evil angel Thalia(which would be totally weird anyway). However, the statement that the threat on Innistrad is multiversal makes me worried. Worried of the obvious implication that is Emrakul. I'm conflicted about it because on one hand, if this is the end of the Eldrazi arc, that means we won't have to deal with any more eldrazi probably ever again or at least not for another ten or so years. On the other hand, it means that the entire eldrazi struggle would be wrapped up in a little package that is far neater than it should be and it would also potentially mean turning Innistrad into another bout of "Eldrazi vs. Everyone else" just like what happened to Zendikar.
I kind of think it won't be Emrakul. It's more likely a brand new Multiverse-level threat to nearly coincide with the introduction of the brand new Gatewatch team, kind of like how new villains emerge right after the Justice League/Avengers initially form.
That'd be nice and kind of a breath of fresh air, honestly.
Same here, would be nice to see more threats then the eldrazi, Bolas and Phyrexia since the Gatewatch only know about the eldrazi and Jace and Chandra have some idea about Bolas, with none of them having ties to the Phyrexian. I find this funny since the story of Innistrad was somewhat self contained compared to the other storylines.
Or something new to give the gatewatch more storylines to go through. Out of the big bads we have Bolas, the eldrazi and phyrexia the gatewatch only knows about eldrazi and somewhat through Jace and Chandra, Bolas. Plus we could always use a new big baddy since;
Todays story was okay for me, honesty I felt like Doug was trying to put too much in a little time, but as always I liked his stories. Though I agree Ob was taken down way a little too easily. Though I get that he might have been overwhelmed with Jaces mind magic, Gideon physical attacks and Nissa and Chandras magical attacks, with just how much countering he had to figure out for each.
We will see more non-human walkers, just saying that their market research shows players like human walkers better so we will see more then non-humans, which I agree is kinda of a shame. Although you could argue humans are the most common race in each planes and the multiverse , except places like Lorwyn and Innistrad (atm).
On the topic of the idea above me that we'd have to kill off Kiora to get another Merfolk planeswalker, I want more non-human planeswalkers. It's silly to think that we have had so many human walkers but that we can only have one Merfolk at a time. Being a Merfolk in MtG isn't some special chosen-one status, it means that you're apart of a species that is, 9.5 times out of 10, just as sentient as humans in the muktiverse if not more intelligent. It's simply strange and silly to have a far vaster number of human planeswalkers than non-humans.
Mark says the market research shows that the non-human walkers are the least popular. If you look at all the non-humans walkers they are humanoid.
That's true and I agree that there should be more non-human planes walkers. Although, I feel like they wouldn't create another Merfolk, especially now that Kiora just saw a reprint. I could see them making another goblin planeswalker since Daretti doesn't really apply to every format. Perhaps a new Tamiyo or Tibalt card is in the near future too. And the reason that the non-humans are less popular is because their cards tend to be worse due to the fact that there are less of them. I mean, the Jace cards are amazing which is a reason he is popular. Kiora and Nicol Bolas, less so. That's my opinion as to why they're unpopular and I don't think it'll prevent non-human planeswalkers from being created.
They could make a new card for Daretti if they wanted, like they did for Ob.
It is not strength level, the first Jace card wasn't that good and he was the most popular character. If I remember right the cards out of the lorwyn 5 that saw the most play was Garruk.

WB-Sorin, sulking on his home plane and we will learn more about Nahiri. U-Jace. B- Liliana, while I agree it would feel forced, I couldn't see Liliana not being in the story for a year (possibly a 2 depending on when the two block system was figured out). R- Tibalt, naive and need a better card badly. If Liliana or Sorin doesn't get a card then I totally expect Tibalt to be BR. G-Hopefully a new mono green walker, we only have Nissa and we need more to help balance out planeswalkers when Nissa can't be used.
Although lets not forget we might see the character in the story but we don't get a card for them , since we didn't get a Jace or Ugin card in BFZ block.
She was when Avacyn Restored first came out, people thought she was too out of place and didn't realize how powerful her card was. Plus it didn't help that she didn't get story info.
Okay, sure, but... nothing got story info.
Compare what we know about Tibalt against what info we have about Tamiyo. We have his whole origins story, while all we really know about Tamiyo is she is a moonfolk from Kamigawa and likes to study other planes (with a focus on the moon it seems).
(Also, Tamiyo is unpopular? Kamigawa sure is, but I hear mostly good things about the Moon Sage. I certainly adore her.)

Lack of Octopus is kind of annoying. Is it because of a limit to the number of tokens?
They don't often use different art(s) for tokens unless they have a (most often flavor related) reason, last time we got spawn in Rise they had three different arts to show off the three types so I think they are echoing this with three tokens of Ulamog Scions and three tokens of Kozilek Scions.

He wants his old powers back, he still has his spark
Kruphix sums him up well;

Last we saw he was in the Eye of Ugin trying to repair it to re-trap the eldrazi.
