I love we are getting hybrid outside of companion.

While they are unrelated flavor and lore-wise I like how M20, Eldraine, Theros and Ikoria all kinda feel like a set since all the themes and mechanics do cross over and work together well.

They are continuing the "story on the cards" idea they had with Theros and War of the Spark so here is some fun background info.

I love that the cave painting art is being used and not just art for the walker guide and I love using fun new ways to have 3 color cards without needing to play all 3.

The more 3 color mana fixing the better! Giving them cycle is a great way to make them relevant early or late game.

For Savai they hare prideful it seems since they boast how they haven't ever fallen (which if the trailer is fully canon thats gonna change) and while defensive they do have a military (who Lukka and his gf are apart of) that could add in the red some.

Do you think that trailer speaks of an Attack on Titan vibe? It's understandable if Humans on Ikoria grew lax behind the wall and suddenly a giant monster head looks over you... it will remind them the fear of cattle.

I see that now, along a bit with Innistrad as this is gonna kinda be humans darkest times/on the run after this.

In the very first quote she's referring to civilisation in general, not to trophy hunters.

Ill give you that but again this comes from distain for trophy hunters of humanity and not how she she feel about humans in general.

And in the third comes across as condescending: "Oh those silly baloon people, they should live in harmony with the giant things trying to kill them, they're totally at fault for that". Especially callous since she previously commended their reluctance to kill beasts.

In the section before she says the city that would become the sky ballon city use to work with monsters that would use light to drive back nightmares monster before one day the light monsters stopped appearing to help. I think thats what she is referring to.

There is also a kinda of mix and matching of colors with the monsters. White is mostly cats, blue is mostly elementals, black is mostly nightmares, red is mostly dinosaurs and green is mostly beasts, so many of the multicolored monsters mixing those two or three type in themselves. The apex monsters are a blend of the three monster with their colors.

For Savai they hare prideful it seems since they boast how they haven't ever fallen (which if the trailer is fully canon thats gonna change) and while defensive they do have a military (who Lukka and his gf are apart of) that could add in the red some. As they might use any means to fight the monster black might also be an element there.

For the city they talk about being able to separate out into small groupers then come back together as a bigger whole which kinda feels white or white/green so that might be that aspect of it.

Zagoth- It says the apex beast gave visions of the past and future which goes into similar space of Kruphix.

    Did you read it?

Yes, and unlike you I don't ignore everything but the last few paragraphs.

Trophy hunting is among humanity's greatest cruelties, so there's a twisted justice to a monster that collects trophies from humans (though I'm sure the Ikorians wouldn't see the humor).

Monster hunters have many stories of fallen comrades who killed their quarry only to have it rise and exact its revenge. Though the tales are horrifying, at least they all have happy endings (from my perspective, anyway).

Personally, I hope that the citizens may one day return to the ways of their ancestors, learning to live alongside monsters as partners instead of enemies.

Don't at me if you're going to defend a psycho.

Again these aren't people trying to survive they out hunting monsters for fun and profit. The same hunters are even talked about not being the most welcome in the cities, so I doubt they are bring meat and supplies to people who are needing seem more like a black market ring.

And whats with the 3rd quote? Living along monsters seems like a much better deal then having to adapt and live around them attacking you.

This is a soft wedge set so enemy lands would be good for draft and limited.

When have they said the dragons lords are good?

Its clear from a narrative standpoint that Tarkir was fixed. Sarkhan's biased POV aside, the lands are more vibrant and creative comments imply that everything is better.

And yet Maro has said the Tarkir story is the typical time travel story where the changes makes everything worst with the twist being Sarkhan liking it while everyone else hates it.

Honesty this why I don't really take a lot of y'all criticism as serious. "I don't like her she should be a villain" is weak.

Do inform me how an eco-terrorist unironically calling people trying to defend themselves "vile" is a good character as a sympathetic protagonist.[/quote]

    Did you read it?

Some hunt for the thrill and sport of it; some nurse personal vendettas against certain monsters; others sell monster parts to interested parties. In my eyes, all are equally vile.
    nothing about defending themselves...oh wait

A soldier who fights to protect their home is understandable, but I cannot abide the callous destruction of life for profit or sport.

And personally I think (for fiction) an eco-terrorist can be excellent as a hero or villain depending on the story and world.

Does a creature with my commander mutated under it count as my commander?

A commander rules person is answering stuff on twitter. I don't have the link on hand but they said if your commander is in the pile its counted, its based on the same rules they decided for Brisela, Voice of Nightmares still counting as your commander.

I love how this is Tarkir done right. Proper color trios, overlords being monsters as opposed to fascism portrayed as good.

When have they said the dragons lords are good?

However, Vivien better be the villain. She's so annoying and stupid.

Honesty this why I don't really take a lot of y'all criticism as serious. "I don't like her she should be a villain" is weak.

EDIT: not counting you AbzanPlaneswalker, thats a fair point there might be hunters for food and survival, though hunting monsters seems more for sport since there would be better prey.
