just a little side note on blind obedience, but some twin decks (i think) also run village bellringer, who is not really affected by obedience. i think it would be a mistake to rely on obedience for the twin matchup. i think torpor orb or damping matrix would still be better there, and useful in other matchups as well (pod, for instance)
i have a friend running naya pod, but im running little kid and thus have fewer specific interactions that you do. i focus more on generic hate bears (linvala, gaddock teeg, aven mindcensor) and i have to say its not working out for me. when i was playing linvala, he would just conscripts it and either feed it to a pod or use the opening to combo out. if he couldnt get pod going (teeg, mindcensor) he just aggros me out until he draws the combo or i die. im finding it very hard to beat a deck with 2 different lines of attack, and id like to see if you come up with anything
do any of you have a preference of this deck over Kibler's gw "little kid" deck? they seem to be fairly similar, except his eschews discard in favor of more beaters. it seems like it would have a slightly stronger jund matchup to me, but im not sure about that.
its a tough one but in my experience with my list, swords have been excellent for me.
It punishes slower decks (Sword of F&F) and gives you alot of protection against most decks.
Plus with you playing Lotus cobra, you can do some real silly things in 1/2 turns.
Only thing i wish your list had would be lingering souls. I would say take out Doran but then you loose some big beaters.
I do wonder though if you would be better with Knight of the reliquary over Doran as it does so much more for your list, and you dont get any of the neagatives with Doran (plus knight is that much easier to cast)
And if you are worried that knight and deathrite are counter productive i have often found this not to be the case, and at times they can synergyise well if your a little short on mana.
i feel like the format is starting to hate out lingering souls (ex: thundermaw hellkite), but maybe that was a one time thing. and i do love KotR; ill add her back in
im between elspeth, knight errant and sword of feast and famine atm. I do hate jund, and sword is good at that but smiter is already good at that. Of the two, which do you guys think if a better win con? or just better overall?
what im now working on. I really, really like lotus cobra. t1 dork, t2 cobra, fetch 3 drop is amazing. im still not sure about 3 drops, i have a thing for KotR but im not sure if she and deathrite can work together. on the other hand, she does work well with cobra. idk i have some testing to do. thoughts?
Is performing pretty well, need to test more against that new jund and scapeshift.
this list inspired me, but i have a few questions.
1. sigarda vs baneslayer; which do you feel does more in which matchups?
2. any reason you run split swords without tutors?
3. any thoughts about ramping into something a bit higher on the mana curve? like maybe lady gaga?
what do you guys think about three drops? i have 4 that im considering. knight of the reliquary, loxodon smiter, kitchen finks, or doran, the siege tower?
theyre all reasonable, but im leaning more towards smiter and finks because of my doran issues (see previous page) and because i feel that KotR might not work so well with deathrite, who i know that im gonna use. thoughts?
EDIT: also, smiter is quite nice vs jund as im sure someone has said somewhere on this thread
i dont play modo, and i get very little testing in so im still curious about wilt-leaf liege. Is jund really such a huge problem that liege becomes main board material? or is it just a stellar card, and its amazing-ness vs jund is a bonus?
If you are going to be those smaller G/W hate creatures, then I would strongly consider also adding in Wilt-Leaf Liege. That way your little guys can get some beef in the late game, and you have a solid base of creatures that fights Jund and combo at the same time.
FWIW I have considered adding a Phyrexian Arena to my deck. What's better than 4 Dark Confidants? "5" Dark Confidants?!? I think Arena is the better Dark Confidant replacement by far. Night's Whisper is also worth trying.
i have no doubt that WLW is great when cast for free off a liliana, but is is still great when cast for four?
and on doran: i love casting him as a 5/5 for 3, but i hate how i feel like i have to build around him. i tried him out in a deck with treefolk harbingers and spellskites and everything was peachy until he died (double removal to get thru spellskite, go for the throat) I feel like just running him as a beater, not the deck's central card, is better
im a long time fan of junk, and am just tossing around some lists that i would play if i had the money. i prefer creature-based builds, and you can see:
however, as an average high school student bobs and goyfs are a bit pricey for me. I would like to keep a similar build unless its unfeasible; any suggested replacements? i know that there are no true substitutes, but im just looking for something to fill space
ive found in my admittedly limited testing that my main creature threats (master/ overseer) end up dying. a lot. plating and ravager help a lot, but i would like to have something that doesnt get shut down by stony silence. I've really only tested against Death and Taxes (which my friend runs), but i feel like I would like to be able to win through it without multiple signal pests.
and the reason i didnt post a sb is becasue i dont have one :]

i dont think that you need a full set of dorans; i would cut a doran and a sculler or two for some finks.
