    @Phreddish

    1. You are right in that mill is fairly weak, but I didn't want to be so extremely dependent on getting a formation that anyone with enchantment removal could destroy me. Silumgar could be exactly what I need, that's a good idea.

    2. Also a good point, I happen to have a playset of Kiora's Followers, and that could definitely, definitely work.

    3. One reason the flock is so great in this deck, is that it has such a cheap morph cost that you can swing and flip and still be attacking with a 5/5. (If Assault Formation is in play)

The deck's main concern is laying down a good defense before finding one of my win-conditions with the green searches. I was considering dropping black for a Bant build that runs Nyx-Fleece rams and stuff. That also gives me access to Lagonna-Tribe Elder or whatever his name is, the white 1 mana 0/4. Not to mention that new 1/3 first strike defender in Dragons.

I had this idea as of Dragons, mainly around Assault Formation.

As you can see, I'm still working on it, but I think it has potential. There are a few different combinations in here that give me a 4/4 turn two, in some cases even already attacking with one then. I'm trying to make it more competitive in standard though, so contributions and feedback will be welcome.

The heck? Two weeks of silence? This card is still insane people! I just picked up a play-set for $4 a pop on tcgplayer.

    What is going on here?

...Alright, after listening to everyone, here is what I've decided.

As far as Planeswalkers go, I'll clear the slate, minus the red one. I want to fix him up so that he's good and fun.(Main priority of this whole project,) and I'll work out something for the rest.

@Gustostueckerl, you're right that Walkers should come later. I'll shelve that for now. I'll post up some of the other cards that have been fleshed out a bit instead.

@BaronVonGrixis, you can probably tell that I've read your Planeswalker post. I'm glad you like the red Walker, and it's too bad that my green one comes across as one-dimensional. I really enjoyed making him. Maybe in a block. Anywho, yeah, I'll try to make the Walkers more unique/interesting.

Yeah, I'll repost the first post with some other cards now. Thanks for feedback, all!

Here's the plan with set rotation: The original core set will rotate out as the current wheel lies. Basically, as follows:
To start with, the only set in existence, the core set, will, of course, be the only set in Standard. (or Modern/Legacy/Vintage/etc)
First Block begins, and the core set is still in standard.
Second Block happens, the core set and the first block are still in standard.
Third Block happens, and this is the point where the Core Set and First Block rotate out.
So yeah, the first block and the core set would rotate out together. I just fail to see how this is a bad thing. What do you mean, Xenannigans?

The Walkers just got added everyone, so please, some feedback on them would be appreciated. What do you all think? Too powerful? Unbalanced? Underpowered? Bad synergy? All constructive feedback you can give, please!

Certainly! Sorry about the delay, huge school assignment devoured my time for the meanwhile, but I'm getting back to work on this now. Mainly, I'd like some debate about what a starting core set could do to either help or harm the meta of this mini-magic.

I believe I'm going to call this; "Magic: The Scattering" for the name of the plugin and all.

So, I've been reading through all the official Magic story lines for a good few days now, and I started to consider creating my own multiverse. So, here I am. I'll be doing it in the new style of Wizard's set creation, (2 set blocks, no core sets.) Except, possibly, beginning with a core set. I just wanted to know if people would like to join in? I'll be using Magic Set Editor to make the cards, and I will be creating a plugin for LackeyCCG so that this whole multiverse will be playable like the real card game.

    Just want some feedback!

Edit: It's been about two weeks now, so I'm going to close the poll in which... two people voted. So, since it's a tie, I'll break the tie by saying this: There will be a starting core set. This core set's purpose is to lay a framework for the plugin, and introduce the story-line planeswalkers. As the only core set of this plugin, I will make it a small set of 160 cards.
Off I go to work on it!

Edit the Third: The Planeswalkers that had been planned received some reviews that made me retract them. They are to be revised, and then they will return, but until then, here are some of the mythic rares in the set:

    Soulflow Archangel 2WW
    Creature - Angel Mythic Rare
    Flying, lifelink, vigilance.
Whenever a creature you control with lifelink deals combat damage, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.
At the beginning of each combat, target creature you control gains lifelink until the end of the turn.
    4/4

    Belela Floodmaster 3UUU
    Creature - Leviathan Mythic Rare
    Islandwalk, hexproof
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a flood counter on target land.
Lands with flood counters on them are Islands.
    6/6

    Hodgemarsh Overlord 3BB
    Creature - Demon Mythic Rare
    Flying, trample
Whenever a player sacrifices a permanent, put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control.
Whenever Hodgemarsh Overlord deals damage to a player, that player sacrifices a creature.
Sacrifice a creature: Regenerate Hodgemarsh Overlord.
    4/4

    Promox Lavadragon 2RR
    Creature - Dragon Mythic Rare
Haste, flying, protection from colored spells.
Pay 4 life: Tap Promox Lavadragon. Any player may activate this ability.
    5/5

    Locus Hydra GGGGG
    Creature - Hydra Mythic Rare
    Trample
Locus Hydra enters the battlefield with 5 +1/+1 counters. Whenever you add green mana to your mana pool, put X +1/+1 counters on Locus Hydra, where X is the amount of green mana added to your mana pool.
When Locus Hydra dies, add X green mana to your mana pool, where X is the number of +1/+1 counters on it. Your mana pool does not empty until the beginning of your next end step.

  • posted a message on [[Budget]] Krenko EDH (Casual Alter Deck)
I decided to make a Krenko EDH deck a while ago, nothing too competitive, just a mish-mash of all my goblin-related cards in one deck. About a week and a half later, I've decided to alter it. Now, this deck is a budget, casual deck, but I also think that a few of the cards are... unnecessary.

If people could give me some suggestions, both what to add, and what to remove to make space for it, I would be grateful.

Remember, even though I want advice, this is NOT going to go Pro! This is still a casual deck! Please, don't spontaneously suggest I replace Raging Goblin with Koth or something!

Again, easily obtainable card suggestions only! I'm actively altering the cards as I go, and once I alter a card, it's set in stone. I'll post pictures of the cards as they're altered.

I've been putting in Disciple of Bolas, because if you throw something like Servant of Nefarox at them, and sac it, then you could gain hefty amounts of life and refill your hand, and place a few more threats on the table. Plus, the Disciple has a pretty large body, which means it's an awesome defender, or a good Exalted target itself.

But the point of Disciple making you sac a creature, is that it really isn't that much of a drawback. In most situations, I would be willing, no, HAPPY, to sac a Knight of Infamy, knowing that in my next 5-6 cards I draw from doing so, I will most likely draw several more good threats that make up for it entirely.

B/W Exalted deck? Main Strategy: Get a small creature such as Tormented Soul to trigger a bunch of exalted abilities and kill the opponent.

I considered placing this in B/W control, but those generally have board-wipes. This is a more pinpoint attacking and general defense sort of deck.

So, at the Magic 2013 prerelease, I obtained a few copies of Disciple of Bolas, and was so blown away by the card, that I immediately started building my deck around it. By the end of the second prerelease that day, I decided I had the bones of a plan for a deck around the card, and it all had to do with Exalted!

(I don't know how to make the little box that surrounds the deck plan, so I won't be doing that.)

I'd welcome any feedback on how to make this deck more competitive!

For someone who has never cubed in his life, this article alone makes me want to join any number of the various weekly cubes at my local gaming store.

That said, this review seems pretty spot-on for even Standard or Limited. I especially like your take on Disciple of Bolas and Knight of Infamy, cards which combo rather well with each other, in my opinion, especially with a few other exalted triggers in play. They allow you to sacrifice a small pinger, such as Tormented Soul, which suddenly is no longer small, and which gives you as many as 3-4 cards and life! If you add in the fact that the disciple no longer matters after his ETB triggers, his size makes him an extremely viable exalted swinger himself! Not to mention someone to trade with opposing attackers that doesn't give up an exalted trigger by dying. I may be overvaluing all of the cards I just mentioned, but that won't stop me from tring to make a competitive black/white exalted Disciple deck.
