It seems like a lot of posters are just posting mono green decks without the "Fight Club". Just to reiterate, the Fight Club idea is to give deathtouch to your indestructible guys and then ping/fight the opponent's creatures, then swing with your bigs. Either that or just build up some big Dungroves/oozes and then fight the opponent's guys that way. Mono green agro is a completely different deck.
I saw someone post a combo using Rite of Replication in another thread, seems like a good one. Have Vela out, do the kicker...36 dmg to every opponent.
Also, what do you think about Blood Artist? I am making a Vela deck as well, and am trying to decide whether to include it or not. I realize you are mostly bouncing in your build, but it seems like it could be good in the deck, especially if you face board wipes or have to block, etc.
Wow, totally missed that Painter's was banned...that is sad indeed, especially since I just paid cash for one lol. As for the reanimation theme, I did think about a few cards like that, but I just wasn't sure what to cut...
Not sure that discard is a great strategy for multiplayer, but I wanted to try a deck since it is unusual and I had a bunch of the cards already. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
Reading over this thread it seems that a lot of people are upset with AVR because it doesn't have cards that fit into the decks they are already playing. I can understand that to a point, although probably only for tribal players.
For the non-tribal guys, I'm not sure AVR has much to complain about. If every set only strengthened already strong decks, then that would not be much fun. One of the most fun aspects of this game is taking new cards and figuring out how to make them work and win games. Just because this set doesn't strengthen your already awesome decks doesn't mean it's a bad set...it just means you will have to rethink the game a little bit, which is a good thing in my opinion. Standard changes, that's why it stays fun.
At the same time there are definitely cards in AVR that will see play in every format, so that is also a good thing.

NVM, just saw you mentioned Rite of Replication
Also what about Precursor Golem?

Painter's Servant with Crosis or Wash Out
Contagion Clasp or Contagion Engine with Myojin of Night's Reach
All the enchants + any discard....yada yada
Anyways, I know the lands are probably off by a bit, and I am missing a lot of options, but I haven't spent much time worrying about them yet.
Also not sure why Crosis' tag isn't working...tried spelling it 50 different ways and none are linking. Sorry!
Any comments welcome!
