Quote from Digi »@GoC, this flavor along with the mechanics is nearly flawless in execution.
The only flavor change I would make, would be changing the Klingon War Bird to a Bird of Prey. Although it doesn't matter because they have been used by many races, (notably the series and movies are but aren't exactly limited to: TOS: Romulan Bird of Prey, TOSMPs: Klingon Bird of Prey, TNG: Romulan Warbird, TNGMPs: Reman Bird of Prey, Romulans and Reman Predaters, DS9 and VOY: I can't recall a single time a Warbird or Bird of Prey was mentioned. The Klingons used K'tinga and D7 Class K'tinga ships. The Romulans used Predaters and I only have this info from specs, not the actual episodes, ENT: Romulan Bird of Prey), most non-film canon tries to distinguish the two races by using Warbird for Romulan and Bird of Prey for Klingon.
I especially enjoy the suspend cards. In particular the command theme ones.
A lot of the characters I had to think what color they'd be and what they'd do, and you guys pretty much nailed it.
At first the Barclay cards caught me off guard but they are perfect.
As far as baddies, what do you mean? Like mechanic wise or just baddies?
Q as a badguy planeswalker could be done, and would fit well. Make him mono W, or mono B. Mono W seems more accurate to me.
The Duras sister would be a great card. I can see it having something to do with deck manipulation. A few more legendary starships would be awesome.
I'm about to go to class, but give me a little bit and I'll think of some bad guy card ideas. Word up though: I am no good with actul card making execuation, just general card idea based off the flavor I know and what I know of MtG.
Quote from Digi »@GoC, it's all a farce.
We do have a fb group for members. We decided a while ago that Sally was not the best place to discuss inner clan workings, as well as other topics of interest that would be deemed inappropriate on sally. I'll find you when I get on fb today.
It is nice seeing a familiar face in here that usually isn't. Hope to see more of you.
Quote from Macius »I'll post here, but at the very worst of the clan dying, I think we have the facebook realm mostly locked down. Really hope GoC stops by that outpost more.
Quote from Digi »@Nate, that sounds agreeable.
All active members of [REDACTED] in favor of remaining inactive within the council, say aye.
Quote from Catalmafiethis is the most wrong post i have ever read on any forum. i think you are defending a concept you feel represents you without really understanding it at all. your comments about liking metal notwithstanding. after all, hipsters hate heavy metal, cause metalheads like it.
Quote from Jay13xI think you're getting me wrong here, I've tried to be pretty clear that I'm talking about snobby hipsters, not hipsters in general. If you don't like being labelled, that's an unfortunate by-product of how society works. You will never get a label-free society, because humans are conditioned to think in terms of a tribal mentality. It's unfortunate, but once you move past that and start to think about how labels and trends change, you can come up with solutions instead of resentment.
My bottom line is that there is nothing wrong with liking the norm, either. Different isn't inherently better, just like uniformity isn't bad. I'm just trying to get across to you my own experiences. You seem like a good guy, especially since you responded to my criticism with maturity, so take it from a guy that knows that the need to feel superior is a character flaw and you'll be a much stronger person if you can fight it and share your strengths with other people. Once I stopped feeling insecure and trying to boost my self esteem by feeling superior to others, I became a much stronger and more successful person. If you don't think this applies to you, that's fine, I just feel a lot of my high school/college self in your statements.
Quote from her FB message »Nothing is passive about my aggression- I don't allude to and whine about strife that I incite- and then act arrogantly indifferent, and yet somehow victimized. I wouldn't rather have cheerleaders than friends, or be liberal at all cost than intelligent. "The mediocre teacher tells. The great teacher inspires." "For the record" ***** the ONLY thing you can surely teach is math. Lion den indeed, and I'm the Leo.
You ain't heavy you're my brother, I still believe that you are. I will never forget how you stood up for me to my rotten mother. But the way you have handled this is unforgettable too.
Quote from my reply »all i can say is it took two to tango here. didn't much appreciate being called an ignorant fool for daring to disagreeing with glenn beck. i liked, too, how i was the inciter, and how suddenly i'm not qualified to discuss politics, even though i've been following since before i know you. and i am ALWAYS unforgettable...
