Feb 4, 2014Elvish Sniper posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite Magic Card is Survival of the Fittest. Before it was banned in legacy, I used to play it all the time - putting anger in the graveyard, getting squee, goblin nabob, and then casting a hasted fatty every turn. It's still good in EDH, but you just can't build a deck around it like you used to.Posted in: Announcements

Also, why no Entomb? With all those reanimation spells it seems like it'd be nice to be able to bin a Rune-Scarred Demon or Kokusho at instant speed?
Maybe it has a home in Thada Adel, Acquisitor decks as a way to make extra value out of other peoples Solemn Simulacrums.
I'd never play a vanilla creature in EDH with one exception - in Doran, The Siege Tower. It's pretty fun because he makes cards like Grizzled Leotau and Indomitable Ancients playable.
Does anyone have a deck that does this routinely?
I also really like it on Karmic Guide - let it's echo kill it every time and suddenly you get to reanimate a guy every upkeep.
If I can reliably access Mistveil Plains, I wouldn't Think Twice about adding Sunforger just to abuse whatever instants I'm already running - even without a dedicated "sunforger package".
Make infinite mana, make infinite clones. (Or on MTGO, make as much as you can stand clicking through it all.)
Dualcaster Mage + Rite of Replication can get you there too.
Plus, if the game goes long enough, it's pretty much a two card "I win the game" combo with Mizzix's Mastery or Past in Flames.
