Now that Necropotence and Yawgmoth's Bargain are legal to play, do you think they have a place in this deck? I see at least Necro as a powerful way to refill your hand, especially since our commander is a strong life gain source. The triple black mana cost on it may be its downfall. Bargain seems like it may cost too much, yet its raw power may more than make up for it. Any thoughts?
Dromoka's Command has been very good for me. In my list, I run Night's Whispers and Sign in Blood becsuse they draw 2 for 2. Do you think they would be better off as Anticipate and Impulse. I'm torn as is.
The idea is to abuse Vial Smasher as much as possible, casting free spells like Fury of the Horde, Soul Spike, Pyrokenisis, etc, and race opponents down. Ikra Shidiqi isn't integral to the plan, yet it isn't without purpose. I like green in order to rush out Vial Smasher faster, Shidiqi is 5 mana, which is 1/4 of the life totals, which is substantial, and the life gain helps clean up matches against aggro easier.
Anguished Unmaking, in my opinion, is probably a touch better than Esper Charm in this deck simply because the lose 3 life drawback isn't as bad when our commander has lifelink and vigilance. I could see Esper Charm being played as a personal preference over Tangle Wire.
I kind of agree with Reptante on this one. You are playing Sultai control, so you should be erasing their hand with targeted discard and countering their plays while Leovold makes sure their hand can't reestablish. There is too much of a liability of having Leovold killed while tapping out for this sorcery when their hand is close to empty anyways.
The deck isn't that ramp dependant. It only plays 2 drop ramps and nothing like Basalt Monolith or Thran Dynamo, just to push Sidisi out a turn earlier. The real point is to be able to tutor anything I need and can go on the explosive ramp by grabbing Lake of the Dead consistently.
That being said, would I be better off running more targeted removal and discard in place of those ramps, or even some more card draw?
The question is about what would replace the Ooze combo in the deck if it gets banned, but still run the combo in tournaments. Do you think other wincons would take their place or more set up?
Precisely the idea, and if I am not mistaken, the spell you used, unless it was Necromancy , will be shuffled into the deck because it goes to the graveyard before the shuffle library into the deck trigger resolves. Is that how it works?
Recently, a group of friends and I have decided to transition from the regular banlist to French Commander, believing the ban list is much better list altogether, and hoping to eventually start playing in tournaments. I tried a lot of different deck and I have decided that I like Sidisi the most for a variety of reasons. I understand that Necrotic Ooze combo is the strongest wincon, but I was hoping to build different wincons for when we play casually or if Necrotic Ooze is ever banned. The list below is what I am currently running, then I will explain how they work.
The idea is that you establish with ramp artifacts, card draw, and targeted discard. Usually the best plan is to tutor for Griselbrand and win through combat and mass card draw. If you have instant speed reanimation, you can tutor for Buried Alive and put Emrakul, the Aeons Torn into the graveyard and brought back for massive damage and Annihilator. You can also tutor for Ugin, the Spirit Dragon or Living Death when you need to clear the board, as Ugin can then become a wincon and Living Death can then reanimate Sidisi again for yet another tutor, which is nice.
I like having both Ulamogs because I can tutor them and hard cast them for targeted removal and powerful combat creatures, as I can often afford them. Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is good to refill your hand if Griselbrand gets exiled, and Kozilek, the Great Distortion gives mono black counter magic, which I can see being very good. Sheoldred, Whispering One and Dawn of the Dead seem incredibly powerful with Sidisi, but they do need a turn to get going. Are they worth running? Right now, I have Sheoldred in the list but not Dawn of the Dead.
The question I have is if the Eldrazi are unnecessary and to replace them with literally anything else? What other wincons would be better or do we only need Griselbrand, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, and Army of the Damned to win most games?
Another question I had too was is it better to run burst draw effects like Read the Bones and Wretched Confluence or to run some draw engines such as Underworld Connections,Dark Tutelage, and Coercive Portal? In regular commander, I leaned towards burst draw because my games were dictated by who assembled a combo first and these let you dig faster, but is Duel commander a different beast?
It's a two drop that passes the vanilla test, hard to block, hard to kill, and brings more creatures. I don't know why people think this doesn't deserve the mythic slot.
I love this card and I love this deck. I just want to add my 2 cents. I would run a ton of mana dorks, like Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, Elves of Deep Shadow, Priest of Titania, stuff like that. The reason being is a hand with 2 of them gets Mazirek on the board on turn 3 consistently and you will get more milage from Mazirek's ability, having more creatures to put +1/+1 counters on. Also, if they die, they work of the commanders ability as well. Didn't see Grim Haruspex in there, I think he would be perfect as well.
Awesome start. Silumgar (or as we call him, Slum Daddy) is a great card in the command zone. I would recommend straight up sac outlets instead of exploit creatures. For example, Ashnods Altar and Phyrexian Altar are the best because they are free to activate and generate mana. I also like Fallen Ideal a lot as a sac outlet. It will go back to your hand most of the time and will give a small opportunity to win via commander damage.
They were collateral from a tempo version of the list I was trying and I guess I oversaw them as I updated the list.

What do you guys think of Sultai Charm and Abzan Charm?
Earlier you said something about Liliana, the Last Hope. Do you think she could be worthy of a place in this deck?
That being said, would I be better off running more targeted removal and discard in place of those ramps, or even some more card draw?
