Pretty sure the Midrange version is going to beat up on the aggro deck, and Nacatl gives the midrange deck a chance to simply race combo and other strategies, while still making the matchup against G/B decks a solid one. Vexing Shusher is nice tech, but I still think that Voice will end up being better against Splinter Twin and Faeries. Bonfire seems like a necessary sideboard card for tokens and pod.
Has anyone seen or been brewing any decklists that are similar to Conley's Woods's GP San Antonio deck, it mainly used Unburial Rites to out value and opponent instead of merely a reanimation tool. Does anyone think this could be good once again?
What do you guys sideboard in against UWR? I feel that is the weakest matchup for our deck, by the way, I'm still playing the Dreg Mangler, Experiment One version, but with Dryad Mililtant as my other one-drop of choice.
Just got back from GP San Diego playing Living End, failed to make day 2 with a record of 5-3-1, but I liked the deck a lot, and was wondering how in the hell does this deck beat an Arcbound Ravager? In the games that I played against affinity I could not beat them for the life of me.
I was playing the 4 color peddler list from SCG Atlanta for a little while and decided to take out the peddler package and tweak the deck a little bit. Any thoughts??
I'm playing Naya Aggro at the moment, and I would like some ideas on threats out of the sideboard that control decks can't really deal with or give them a hard time.
I saw Ricky Sidher playing something that looked like Bant splashing red in the TCGPlayer 50K, it had pillar of flames and snapcasters. Anyone else see this list, it looked pretty interesting.
How has your testing with the changes been going? I really like the concept of the deck, and I particularly like Angel of Serenity over Armada Wurm, but the mana scares me. How often do you brick on a Red or Black mana source, holding a removal spell that's chilling in your hand?
Not very often actually. The color that you don't need as often is black. I found that adding an extra Clifftop Retreat to the mana base and taking out the Isolated Chapel helps fix not only the problem of getting triple white, but the red mana as well. It's been silky smooth now.
That's why I took out the Isolated Chapel, I wanted to take out some Overgrown Tombs(I NEED STOMPING GROUND!!!) but it stumbled on mana. I wonder if Keyrune might be a good choice.
