Yeah, when I was in middle school, we played all the time too. We tried during the study hall and the teacher didn't like that, so he asked us to bring him all the cards. We put the real cards away and gave him all our basic land. He never did give those cards back, though.

lol, i used to play magic inside my middle school, but nobody ever stole anything. Heck, we played tons of card games there. Magic, star wars ccg, star wars tcg, any game we could get our hands on. We even played warhammer 40k a few times, but then found it was WAY too hard to transport models to and from school without some serious breakage.
I just got Dawn of War for my comp... It rocks. Thats why i havnt been on much, lol. Anybody else get any funtastic games?

But asian the thing is they are techmicaly trying to play a spell. what your doing is inresponce countering the spell there for it was never played. they get tokens if the spell is alowed to resolve by dove scape. plus it was mostly in there to deal with big creatures not the non creature spells them selves. there for stoping threats that can hurt him and kill his tokens. i forgot to add that part. his tokens can deal with theres easy enough.
@niv- Me thinks he will still get the tokens..... Im not positive though, but whelk vs. creatures is still good.

Once you get dovescape out, counterspells are almost usless (you can use em to get a few more tokens, but thats it). The reason i run the arbiter is he makes dovescape cost 4 to play, and say you play another dovescape while that one is out, you get 6 tokens for 4 mana. Its pretty shnazzy. Whelk is good, in the sense that its still a counterspell that you can play when dovescape is out. I dont really see any point in teferi's moat, b/c you have enough blockers to chump block everything. Also, for your lands, if you dont want to be expensive, dont buy the duals. Its that simple
Windreaver is ok, but i really dont think he works with the theme of this deck. He is a good solid creature, but for 5 mana you could b getting 5 tokens instead with a card like tidings. Moon sprite is ok, but there are better fish in the sea...
Also, i made this deck b4 coldsnap came out, so it has no new cards in it, lol.
Yeah, the people who lose and "dont want" help, in my opinion, they just dont want to acknowledge you are better than they are. WHO I HATE is the people who (by rating) are better than you, but you win and when you say good game, they say, "no it wasn't". I really cant stand them...
The black counterspell, think of it this way, you either lose your spell or lose a fourth of your life. When your facing black, it can be catastrophic, especially if the build a good deck *cough underworld dreams cough*.

Basic idea, get out dovescape WHEN YOU HAVE ANTHEM, GIANT, OR ARMORER, so your tokens are better than theirs. You almost automatically win.
@ waymc- why i left, i was just sick of magic. It was ruining one of my friendships with one of my best friends (hes better now), and Im sick of all the selfish people ripping on noobs instead of helping them. For example, when a noob gets a good card, the better people usually trade them jack-s*** for it instead of its actual value. And if they make a play error, dont make fun of them, help them learn to be better. Ive decided that leaving the game wont actually help any of this, so im back.
Basic idea, win the game, lol. get out a turn 2 or 3 torchling/akroma/dragonstorm and it makes this possible. It has a problem beating aggro though... Control vs. new Akroma and torchling makes me laugh. They cant target akroma (usually) and torchling means kill their stuff instead. dragonstorm is good overall, as we all know.
Im probably gunna put the spirit guide in, but due to lack of him in the patch i downloaded for MWS i cant....

@HH- i thought entrophy was the term for the measure of randomness, not chaos... although they are quite similar. Also, dont delve into the names of the positions too much, theyre not that important:p theyre just flashy names to make us sound like the awesome people we are. and id say mizzium manipulation fits in with mizzium transreliquat quite nicely
uggh, simic aggro, i got hit hard by that once. its fast and tends to makememad. Its good if played correctly, but one wrong move and ur screwed over to the max.

IMO, u/r only defense against weenie style beatdown is pyroclasm, wildfire(if your deck can handle it), lots of shocks/chars, and niv. niv can fry down lots and lots and lots of little buggers...hehehe. BURN!!! LITTLE BUGGERS!!! and HOLY CRAP!!! UR AVVY MOVES AND HAS A SANTA HAT!
@bornover- id have to say mortify, putrefy, or char was/were the best instant(s) from rav. All of them were low cost spells that REALLY pissed me off, err, i mean they were all very nice and fair to play against. electrolyze is good, ill give it that, but 2 damage and a card is a bit too little for 3 mana in my opinion.
@horseshoe- ur sky swallower deck is weird... Am i correct in assuming you dont play anything after the hypergenesis get suspended and just counter ur way out? Otherwise, you would give ur opp lots of stuff. I see how you would be able to get them back, and then some, but you still need 2 mana to do it, which after giving all of your lands away is a tad bit hard. I guess you could play the hypergenesis, but with only 21 lands its gunna b hard to get that, save by lucky draws. If you have the cash, try to get some yavimaya cost to help color wise. Also, your only running 3 of each combo card, which is generally not a good idea(trust me on this one, almost all of my decks are super-happy-combo decks like this). And dont forget, when u give them the sky swallower they get a big creature, and i dont see a way to take it down in here other than another sky swallower or what you hope to get from an opponent. If you want a big hitter to take ur opponent down, simic sky swallower is amazing. Its almost impossible to kill, and has an amazing p/t.

Muddle is good, but perplex sucks for counter. U use it once, then u might get a counter. Im guessing you have it for transmute into the eye, but i would just them out, and put in some cancel. Same with muddle for either rune snag or mana leak. Vexing sphinx, ive never liked that card, its a wall for a turn, atk for a turn, but you lose massive card advantage if you want to keep it any further. You can use it to discard niv, but thats about all i think its useful for. I see that phlanyx transmutes for niv, but i usually perfer draw power to draw into the niv, because transmute costs that valuable turn 3 u want to play the doppleganger in. I dont see what use tolarion sentinal is, other than to discard the niv, but you then have to bounce a permanent, which isnt usually good. You could easily make this a reanimator deck, where you just use zombify or something to bring back niv, then pound-in-face with the combo. It gets u the turn 5 win, but u still get ur turn 3. Also, if you want a low-cost discard spell, cry of contrition is always good, you can use it on you if you need to pitch good ol' niv in the grave, or on ur opponent if hes already there.
