Stupid name. Seems mediocre for limited.
My guy, what kind of limited games do you play? Removal + card advantage are almost always high picks. Master the Way was a brickhouse in KTK limited, yet that card was uncommon AND required a grip of cards to be good. If Izzet winds up being the best Guild in GRN limited, it'll be partly because this card exists.

  • posted a message on Ravnica 3 - Guild Leaders, Guildmages & Other Cycles Speculation
The end of the Return to Ravnica arc left off with many guilds having at least one defector each, so I believe each guild will have a cycle not only of legendary Guild Leaders, but also of legendary Guild Defectors.

Orzhov: Teysa Karlov. Last seen she was captured after a failed insurrection against the Ghost Council, as was Tajic.

Izzet: Ral Zarek. Not confirmed, but hinted at. He is currently working for Nicol Bolas for unknown reasons, but it's pretty easy to infer it's to aid him in the seige of Ravnica. Couple that with Ral's inflated ego and him not having very high thoughts on Niv-Mizzet, and his betrayal of the Firemind shouldn't really come to a surprise.

Golgari: Vraska and her Kraul agents. The Ixalan Block outlined all that pretty extensively.

Boros: Feather. Not confirmed, but I doubt she'll sit idly by as Aurelia sits high and mighty as the Boros Guild Leader after turning the entire guild against its former hero.

Selesnya: Ruzi. An ex-Selesnyan wolf-rider disenchanted with the concept of Guilds. He seeks vengeance for his fallen sister who was bullied by the Gruul for adopting one of their babies and then killed by the Rakdos assassin Massacre Girl for unknown reasons.

Azoruis: Lavinia. Far from confirmed, but she's not particularly thrilled about her current position as deputy of the Guildpact, and she doesn't see eye to eye with Isperia oftentimes, so maaaaybe Lavinia is one bad day away from wanting to usurp the Azorius Senate.

Gruul: None confirmed, but there's always been constant in-fighting for the right to be the Gruul guild leader. Borborygmos is said to be waning in his old cyclopean age, so that may embolden even more Gruul members to fight.

    Rakdos: None confirmed.

    Simic: None confirmed.

Generally, you want to avoid making cards that are repeatable while being hidden for players to see. Even more so with cards that affect combat in some way. As is, Imitate is highly likely to cause memory issues and combat complexity, especially at lower levels of play.

That's somewhat reasonable, since worn sleeves can be used to mark important cards if you have low ethics. Doesn't mean you do have low ethics just that it can be a thing.
I'm calling myself out for getting unnecessarily ornery, not my opponent.

I got wangsty at an FNM because my opponent asked me to change my sleeves from my deck since some of them were noticeably worn. Twice.

^Well of course Kazarov doesn't compare well to one of the best 7 mana mythic legendaries to have ever been printed in the history of Magic. Very few cards do at that cost. This is just a wacky Commander plug and a funzo wunzo limited card that hilariously wins the game with Radiating Lightning from time to time, and so long as it stands out to some players that's all it needs to be.

It isn't that white stole black's thing. Black never got exile until recently with the exception Of a couple really really old cards. Its actually black that's stealing white's pie because it can't deal with all those indestructible/recursive threats. Of course, I'm sure you could spice up the black ones and add planeswalker or land to it. It wouldn't be good for black to just totally have a monopoly on all constructed playable creature kill, though.

Yeah I am still not following his argument. White has had exile removal since Swords to Plowshares which is as far back as it gets (before exile was even a zone!) It kept getting it with things like... wait for it... Exile. And then Path and everything else... like, at no point was this black-and-not-white. There was plenty of time this was white-and-not-black, and no point at which it was not-white. I think Unmake is what clearly established it as both a black and white effect.
You all seem to think I don't want White to exile creatures at all. That's not what I said. I said White shouldn't be removing creatures without some sort of stipulation. Retaliation cards like Condemn, Devouring Light, and the aforementioned Exile are exactly how I want White's primary creature removal to be. The second most common should be jailing effects tied to a permanent card like with Pacifism, Banishing Light, and Fiend Hunter. Then finally on rare occasions White could get set thematic removal and resource exchange removal like Dispatch and Declaration in Stone. Blessed Light is neither of these, and therefore it's not a card that I feel deserves to be printed, and especially not at common. If white was aching for creature + enchantment removal in this set, Isolation Zone does that more or less without stepping on another color's tools.

With Seal Away in the same set, there's a good chance that Vigilance will be a more relevant ability than usual in Standard. This guy has high potential to see play.

Excellent sideboard tech against all the overpowered self mill decks that are currently running rampant in Standard.

Does every one here forget playing against Broodmate Dragon... or that Vraska's Contempt is a card. Phoenix is just a one for one with it.... at least later in the game this can leave behind a 4/4 flyer. Not to mention it can just be a 4cmc 4/4 flyer early game. This is a much better late game play then the Phoenix is. I'm not saying it's better in general.... I am saying to all the haters that this card is better than a "garbage mythic".
The legendary supertyping on the card and the token is what's gonna hold these big boys back. Playing Broodmate Dragon back to back was part of what made it so good. This card doesn't have that advantage, though.

Usually exile removal is white (black is more prone to get destroy effects, toughness reduction, or damage). White had Iona’s Judgment and Angelic Edict and Trostani’s Judgment long before black had Final Reward.

Hell, it wasn’t very long ago that every color had access to Scour from Existence.
All those white cards you listed I consider mistakes from the past. White has always had an identity crisis when it comes to its removal, and those cards only serve to muddle its identity further. If the card is playing off a card theme for the set or block I can look the other way as I did with cards like Dispatch, Angelic Purge, and the aforementioned Scour from Existence. However, that's not the case with these cards. They're just slow limited common removal. White's removal shouldn't just be a clunky version of black's. It's gotta do its own thing.

This is a strictly better Final Reward in White. Design wise, I don't like it. Stick it on an enchantment or limit the target to attacking/blocking/high power creatures. Don't just make a black removal spell and give it to white.
