Will we be explicitly judged on how well our third-round card fits into its set? Or just a public poll again?
I admit to being biased somewhat against the entrants who relied on Megiddo's robotic auto-attacking and lack of mana to win. (Yes, I regret that our last-minute card does this as well.) Luckily, this didn't matter, as Socrates and ME+KK not only stuck to the spirit of the challenge but had the best designs as well.
Have to say that Tribute Gatherer (MDenham and WhisperedThunder) is incredibly broken. At the worst, it's 2B for "Each opponent sacrifices four creatures."
Also, do people really think Phyrexian Rustbleeder (Balefire and Prophylaxis) is balanced? Disciple of the Vault wasn't good enough without being playable in any color, gaining you life, and triggering off itself?
Arcane Lamp3
Artifact (R) Imprint When Arcane Lamp enters the battlefield, exile all creatures you control.
:symtap:: Put a creature card exiled with Arcane Lamp onto the battlefield.
Silence1WB
Creature -- Incarnation (R)
Flying, first strike
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a silence counter on target creature.
Creatures with silence counters can't attack or block.
2/2
ThornsproutGR
Instant (U)
Thornsprout deals 3 damage to target creature. At the beginning of the next end step, put three +1/+1 counters on that creature.
Jundstone2
Artifact (R)
:symtap:: Add to your mana pool. If that mana is spent on a creature spell, that creature gains trample, haste, and "Sacrifice this creature at the beginning of the next end step."
Corrupted Maw6BG
Creature -- Horror (R)
When Corrupted Maw enters the battlefield, you may put any number of -1/-1 counters on target creature. If you do, put that many -1/-1 counters on Corrupted Maw.
8/8
What the hell?
First of all, this will fire 1 damage to everyone for as long as there are any creatures on the battlefield...so if there's one that's indestructible, this ends in an infinite loop until one player is dead.
Even worse, it triggers from itself dealing damage to players too - and since you may stack the "sacrifice this" and the "~ deals 1 damage to" triggers the order you want them to, and if you put the sacrifice-trigger first, then the damage-trigger on top, we are in another infinite loop, as the sacrifice trigger wont trigger again until it's first instance leaves the stack, while the damage trigger will keep on triggering itself
really broken...
To be fair, SolInvictus clearly meant "another", so this is just an unfortunate but design-irrelevant wording mistake (that's why the Rules Manager exists). The intended card isn't bad at all.
Monochrome Eternity6
Tribal Enchantment -- Eldrazi
If an effect would add colored mana to a player's mana pool, it adds that much colorless mana instead.
:xmana:: You may cast a spell card from your hand with converted mana cost X without paying its mana cost. Any player may activate this ability, and X can't be 0.
Rising ChampionRW
Creature -- Human Warrior (R)
Whenever Rising Champion deals combat damage, you may sacrifice an Equipment attached to it. If you do, search your library for an Equipment card with converted mana cost equal to 1 plus the sacrificed Equipment's converted mana cost, put it onto the battlefield attached to Rising Champion, then shuffle your library.
2/2
Mimeomancy XURG
Sorcery (MR)
Choose target permanent, then put X tokens onto the battlefield that are copies of that permanent. If they're creatures, they gain haste until end of turn. Exile those tokens at the beginning of the next end step.
Looming Catastrophe2BB
Sorcery (R)
Destroy all untapped creatures.
Forecast---:symw:, Reveal Looming Catastrophe from your hand: Tap all creatures you control. (Activate this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn.) "Hide. Now!"

One of the votes for Socrates was from the person who was discounted for voting three times, so BlackBull won with 5 votes.
