Thinking of it, the flavor of this "hate card" is actually pretty cool. When the spotlight is on, you can see everyone and everything, and when you turn it off, you basically cover all your dudes in darkness so that they can surprise the opponent.
Look, I can agree that GTC maybe doesn't have so much cards for "competitive players". However, some sets just have to be like that. I would very much appreciate it if the "competitive players" on this forum stopped whining everywhere that they don't get cards for their standard or even modern decks. I mean, Modern is pretty much an eternal format. How often do you see Legacy or Vintage players complaining in spoiler threads that they don't get enough new stuff? It's just silly.
And while having an own opinion on a card is totally OK, when I read comments of "card evaluation pros" flaming anyone who gives card A even just a chance to be played in format X, it just pisses me off. If you think it's bad, don't play it, period. The people who play with "bad" cards will notice that for themselves over time. No need for your "help", kthxbye.
Maybe I should just quit reading the comments altogether...
I get the feeling that in competitive play, 10% of the players create new decks while the other 90% copy the 10% deck lists.
Same here. If you read the spoiler threads, there are practically no cards that are above average. Pretty much everyone is going "Would have been better if it was like this: [custom card]" or "janky casual card" or "limited bomb/fodder", and then one day, some of those cards appear in "Pro-Player" decklists and the whole forum is like "this card is soooo good, I knew it right from the start!". Seriously, less complaining and more creativity, please.
My only problem is that some people think some cards are playable while less than 5 constructed playable cards have been spoiled.
Why should that be a problem? They have their opinion and you have your opinion on what cards from GTC are playable. There's absolutely no reason to be upset about anyone...
@Topic: Really, people complain too much. I was dissappointed by some cards too, but you don't have to start an endless discussion everytime some piece of cardbord or a set of them offends you...

My inner timmy approves. I've always liked Spawnwrithe, now I have a big one.
Kinda boring card design-wise, though... Something that I really want is a big green creature that does something else than being a fattie once it's in play (same with Zegana). There has to be interesting design left out there...!
It could have cost 6, they could have given it hex-proof, haste or regenerate and possibly tweaked the cost respectively. Then maybe it would have been a cool card for green to ramp into.
Lol no, that would be far too good.
Although I agree that it doesn't feel like anything special...let alone 'mythic'
Just one question: This may be the worst possible scenarion, but if she enters an empty battlefield with no creatures but her, do you get to draw a card? I think I do, but I read on another forum that she somehow doesn't trigger herself...

I think it's more like "THERE YOU ARE NASTY GEIST OF SAINT TRAFT PERVERT", but yeah, goes for stalker as well.
