What about Sun Droplet instead of Dragon's Claw? Sure, it is a slow card, but if you have some other ways to gain turns against burn (other sources of lifegain, discard, removal) it will gain you much more life
The hints are definitely there. Khans is essentially part 2 of the Eldrazi storyline; Ugin, Sarkhan and Sorin are all showing up, Bolas and the Lithomancer (now known to be Nahiri, a Kor from Zendikar) are being referenced, and Nissa's UR suggested that Zendikar is not beyond saving.
I wonder how many planeswalkers they'll have to cram into that set. Sorin, Ugin, Nahiri, Kiora, Gideon, and Nissa are all intimately tied to the Eldrazi storyline. Chandra, Jace, Ramaz, Sarkhan, and Bolas had a hand in it the first time. And we still haven't gotten to Ob Nixilis, who looks to be at the center of Zendikar Pt. 2.
Return to Zendikar would probably be the closest thing to a planeswalker block we will ever see, with 8-10 planeswalker spread in the two sets
yeah fetchlands reprint! now people playing shard or allied colors decks will stop complaining that their deck are not tier 1 because of the lack of allied fetches and realize that, simply, their decks are not good
I think people do overestimate the effect of the lack of allied color fetches, but the effect is still significant. If anything, it would simply encourage more people to play shard color combinations. I think there are many tier 2 decks out there are actually good (e.g. Esper and Grixis control), but few people seem to want to play them over tier 1 decks.
actually i have played cruel control (grixis control) in the last two years and, hear me, you could build a working manabase even without enemy fetchlands! anyhow, i agree with you on the moral factor, and i hope to see more people playing these decks

i play it in my goblin deck side only because i don't own any Vandalblast. however it is an istant so it may be good in some corner cases against affinity
i think everyone did not understand the OP question. when will WotC make legal in modern all the new cards introduced in supplemental products like Edric, Spymaster of Trest? only new cards, not reprints like Sol Ring
i think it is a very bad idea to unrestrict the 9th card in term of sheer power in the history of magic after black lotus, the moxen, time walk and ancestral recall
I can see GGT coming off the Modern list if they leave Dread Return on. Ancestral Vision is MAYBE okay, the only existing decks that would run it would be UWR, U-Tron, and maybe storm. With BBT banned there's no risk of cascade goodstuff running rampant. Sword of the Meek definitely cannot come off though; Thopter Foundry + Sword combo would become the go-to control shell and would be oppressive. Bitterblossom and Wild Nacatl are more likely unbans than any of these though. Deathrite Shaman could get the axe, but I doubt it. Why would they ban SSG?
i believe they could ban SSG because my confidence in the wizard ban policy is below zero since the inception of modern and a Goryo deck just made day two at the last gran prix: given their hatred towards non interactive combos and the ban of Seeting Song i imagine that thay could ban other ridiculous cards
and are you really sure that Thopter+Sword combo is really playable in today modern, dominated by Abrupt Decay and DRS?
I lost all hope and confidence in the DCI with this announcement: if their bannning policy was wise at the beginning of the format now it is only a cancer that will slowly kill modern
Vintage, I can see Library of Alexandria or Balance being unrestricted, especially with Mud's current dominance, it will give Recall decks extra-power and perhaps more reason to play white (in Balance's case). I don't think Balance is all that powerful anymore, as all it will do is Mind Twist an opponent, and can stone rain yourself...IDK, when I've played I've never been like "Hey, I wish I had Balance right now"
Library....I love turn 1 library....especially on the draw....please??
unrestricting Power 10 (Library of Alexandria) and Power 11 (Balance) would't stop MUD supposed dominance (in Europe, for what I can see, vintage meta is healty) but if you still want to do something restrict Lodestone Golem would be wiser

Modern: i sincerly hope they will unban Golgari Grave-Troll, Ancestral Vision and Sword of the Meek beacause their bans are absolutely nonsense. The only new ban i hope they will ban is Deathrite Shaman but it is more probable they get crazy and ban Simian Spirit Guide
Legacy: unban Mind Twist
Vintage: no changes
Commander: no changes. i think there are cards that deserve a ban more than Deadeye Navigator like Hermit druid
i have thought the same thing, it would be the money card of this FtV
Agreeableness with the banning method of the format thus far: 1
no new question beyond those already written
