    Howdy,

I opened up an Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/Craftadactyl . I take Magic cards (among other things), cast them in resin, and turn them into pens by turning them on a lathe. So far I have backs of cards and a Llanowar elf, but I am working on turning more cards like basic lands from a new batch. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for the site or the pens. I know the prices are a bit high for some, but I tried to estimate the amount of work and materials involved and price accordingly.

Thanks, and have a great day!

Admins, if I posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize. Please feel free to move this post or tell me where to repost it. Thanks!

Self-mill and ghoultree both work reasonably well with Artful Dodge. It's mostly best with just that card, but 10/10 can kill in two hits if we're living the dream. Also, it can be pretty decent with some of the bigger worms and such. Perhaps in lieu of the vapor snags, which will be easy to accidentally mill? The bear is an intriguing addition to the pattern, though. Hmmm.

I prefer going all-in on livewire lashes over daggers, especially as you only have one human in the list. As a result, you'll want to maximize anything that targets your own infect creatures. For this reason, I'd swap some of your corrupted resolves or silent departures for Apostle's Blessings. I do like your inclusion of Ranger's Guile on the list, though. Additionally, it might be worth considering Runechanter's Pike over the flail, though I'm not sure if you have quite enough instants/sorceries to make it ideal.

With regard to Turn aside (one of my favorite spells), I don't think it's the option here. Too much of the artifact removal either is on a non-instant/sorcery card or has flashback. Either they're going to use an acidic slime, werewolf ransacker, oblivion ring, etc, or they're going to use ancient grudge etc, which can just turn around and destroy the artifact anyway. Regardless, just about any artifact destruction is likely to get through turn aside.

The protection spells mentioned above seem better, as they at least get around the creature-based artifact removal. And regular counterspells can at least counter some of the things like the slimes. But yes, it seems like the best way to go may be to try to out-pressure.

I don't think it's necessarily competetive enough to be great (due to mana cost), but I like the idea of combining Warstorm Surge with a Venser deck. Gives everything in the deck a nice extra ETB ability. One of my favorite casual decks is flicker creatures and Pandemonium, and this gives a similar effect.

Yes, I think Snapcaster for GHM. And I agree with 3x mana leak 3x vapor snag. Vapor snag is just a huge tempo play.

Something oddball that you might want to consider: many would want a phantasmal image for this deck, as you can copy the captain and make both safe, as well as stacking the boost. As a budget alternative to that, you can consider cackling counterpart. It does cost one more, but it's instant and has flashback to counteract that. You'd probably have to reduce a few of your instant/sorceries by 1-2 to fit these in, but it's worth considering. Not to mention, if you image a GHM and then flash it back the next turn...

Something else to consider: I've had pretty good luck testing a RWB flashback deck lately. It's a lot of red burn, with Lingering Souls, Sever the Bloodline, and so on. It's pretty good so far at keeping the board clear while you just take control. And thanks, almost_sorry, I forgot Chandra's Phoenix, which would probably work like a charm there.

I like xionz's choice of Livewire lash for this. It's just 2 free poison counters any time your opponent tries to kill you, you buff your creature, or so on. I'm building a similar list, but I also really like Apostle's Blessing for this deck. It protects your creature from being killed, it makes crusaders etc unblockable if they're not already, and it gives you free poison counters to deal if you're already equipped with the livewire lash. I'll probably post my list here once I finish testing it out and stabilizing it, but those are just my thoughts so far. Also, I'm currently running silver-inlaid daggers, but may end up on the Pike plan...
