I think 4 damage plus player option would make it better in red aggro, but as it is the extra damage gives you more flexibility in killing more targets which should prove to be better in the aggregate if red is doing more than aggro in your Cube. Think about killing an X/1 and 2 X/2s, or a planeswalker and one creature. The 5 splittable damage is going to lead to more blowouts.

... okay, a sweeper is good for control, but I'd rather see something a little more exciting if I can manage it. Maybe more flicker support, or thopter-Dovin, I dunno.
