For GW, Horizon Canopy is an option for land as well. In GW I would assume if you get blood mooned you still have the bobbles to tap for the one white mana needed for all the white cards, thats why no double white are in the 75.
Martell suggesting a ban on Glistener Elf, Twin, Amulet, Griselbrand, and Manamorphose. With Goyf potentially being banned as well.
Wizards has certainly caused themselves a big mess havent they.
I'm fine if goyf is in that list because if your going to gut 4 decks but leave Abzan untouched then your just dumb. Why the grisel thou? Seems an odd choice
I agree it is a bad rule. I wouldn't be opposed to a simian spirit guide ban because that would make it harder to win before turn 4 and the only turn 2 win would be hive mind.

I, personally, don't know how anyone can suggest a simian spirit guide ban with a straight face -_-
You clearly dont play Titan Bloom. simian spirit guide ban would keep the deck mostly intact but keep it from turn 1 kills and makes turn 2 much harder, while not affecting any other deck.
Seems like a rational, logical argument to me (since the thing people are complaining about and the reason they think Amulet Bloom will be banned is because it breaks the turn 4 rule)
I do play it and most people run a single spirit guide. ONE. That isn't what makes the deck tick, and if you think taking that away would make it fair your crazy. It would make ad nauseum fail to be decent at all, and hurt living end since half those players use it as well.
How often have they banned stuff back to back? I feel like they have at least let one banning period pass before banning something again after a banning just be happened. Could be wrong though.
I also own Bloom Titan, and really don't want to have to sell some of it now (id just sell amulets, bloom, and a single azusa tbh, rest off the deck should be fine in different shells).
Not a big fan of GCB. First we are banning fetchlands. Next he is surprised that GGT isn't broken yet. Then we are playing some weird Naya Zoo deck with Become Immense. And finally we have an equivocating comment on how control may or may not have the cards and he wouldn't be surprised either way.
So it really sounds to me like he's just trying to distinguish himself with unique or predictive opinions.
O I think he's an idiot, but Sutcliffe is asking the questions we all have been, on air, which makes the discussion great.
Can you tell me what the combo is for Burn? Its chaining spells and creatures and just burning/smashing face. How is that combo like say Twin?
And Infect? Pumps are combo now?
People are divided, some consider them combo, some aggro, some both. I consider burn and infect aggro with spell back up. Its not a true combo like twin thats an oops I win, which many view as true combo, but more a combo of multiple spells that win, that happen to not be creatures, so therefore not true aggro either. I personally wouldn't classify them as pure combo either.
