    huh? Have you seen how excited most people are over the card? Most can't wait to replace combust, since the only thing combust hits that rending volley doesn't is siege rhino, and most people don't being in combust to just hit a siege rhino. Volley still hits all of twins creatures, resto angel, etc. The one mana over two is huge. Volley is the real deal.

    Using Leaks over Deprive. Sideboard is heavy anti affinity, and there wasn't a lot of affinity that made day 2. Main decks great, but I'd down on the EE, shatter, or vandals. 7 slots for that is pretty huge.

    Lets take the standard talk to the standard boards. Cluttering up a discussion about the future of modern with standard arguments is a waste.

    I am surprised at the amount of people that want Modern like legacy. Why not just play legacy then? If its the cost I can understand, but if modern became like legacy, the cost would probably rise as well, keeping more new players out than it already does.

    Unfortunately, I did much, much worse in the main event. I can list lots of reasons, (and waking up at 2am and not getting back to sleep probably didn't cheap a great deal) but ultimately I just didn't play well. Enough. I played against abzan, twin, twin, mono u Tron, infect, dredge, burn. I blame myself squarely for the abzan matchup, my starting hand was fine for abzan but I could have sworn I'd seen him on infect in an earlier round and mulligan ex accordingly..... Worst.decision.ever. but the twin matchups were rough. (As was infect) I pulled 4-5 (that's right, I only actually won 2 games all day Frown )

    But you know, it happens. I'll do some write ups at a later date I consider my contribution acceptable as I got us a shout out on the trial lists Smile (But right now, I need sleep!)


    Sorry I couldn't get us up there boys and girls!


    Props for rocking a good and unique list, I'm sure the lack of sleep didn't help!

    My position is that of accept Modern warts and all, or abandon it, but don't torture it with more bannings and unbannings when the format seems relatively healthy


    Sperlings response to a post. Just throwing that here to see if that is true after GP Vancouver. After the last 28% azban, 12ish % infect and burn, if there is a repeat of that then obviously the format is not healthy. I think after this weekend we will have a lot of answers.
