To add to the discussion on image; at the time also had the utility of killing legends especially sticky ones likes Thrun and GoST. Copying Harmonic Sliver for 2 triggers was also cute. Even then it was one of the most situational bullets but was the only way to enable the 1+2 and 1+4 chains. With scryb ranger it seems hard to justify for the "1+2 but no forest" line.
Regarding huntmaster discussion on the previous page. I agree with the sentiment of it being somewhere in between Obstinate and P&K and I think that's precisely why we *don't* want it. We're a deck built around silver bullets. Unless we need to condense deck slots, P&K and Obstinate the use cases of huntmaster with more specificity.
If you're going that route, you might be able to jam in the Spike Feeder+Archangel of Thune combo.
I considered it but I was hoping for something to fit into a Yisan chain. I can get Thune after resto, but bell-ringer at 3 enables everything.
That being said, since posting I've come up with: 5cmc clone (Vesuvan Shapeshifter, Mercurial Pretender or Body Double) gets Yisan to 6. Deadeye Navigator on Resto/Bell-ringer generates infinite mana and can reset Yisan counters too. "Put any creature from my deck into play at instant speed" might as well be infinite.
I'm looking to take a break from my regular decks. I've been toying with some synergies that I'd like to use to put together something on the sweet/janky/cute end of the spectrum:
* T4: Tutor Ranger. Untap Yisan, replay forest. Tutor Bell-ringer, untap team. Tutor Resto, blink bell-ringer, untap team. Tutor kiki, go infinite.
KotR gives another thing for Bell-ringer and Ranger to untap. Retreat gives another way to untap Yisan. I don't mind 3.5 colours splashing red for Wolf Run/Nacatl but Kiki feels like too much? I recall some hangarback walker lists which also seems fun. Fauna shaman is another consideration. I'm still looking for:
* Any other untap targets?
* Alternate creature combos in bant at 5-7 mana? (5,6 mana clones exist that could replace kiki in the chain)
Jankier the cards the better; I'm just looking for something fun to play locally.
4 voice - why? This card almost always feels underwhelming to me as combo decks just laugh at it and it kind of nonbos with resto angel (flashing on their turn, if they react you dont get a token - so you either give up the flash or the token if they respond
Underwhelming compared to what? What other 2-drops would you be running in place? My personal opinion is that voice is rarely outright bad: trades well with most removal, fills the curve, and then the token sometimes goes and wins games. It's nothing flashy but it does a lot of quiet work.
Technically, I didn't drop a match last night, but 1/0/2 is nothing to write home about. Beat amulet, went to time against Bant ghostway and Junk token/evolutionary leap. I think I overcompensated with durdly value cards after my Jund losses last time.
What do you guys think we could put in the 75 to improve the Jund, Tribal, Burn, and Tron matches?
Kitchen Finks and Obstinate Baloth both hit the jund and burn match-ups. I'm not a fan of getting too cute, take hard to remove creatures against Jund and lifegain against burn.
Glen Elendra Archmage can be an all-star against tron, but your best bet is trying to go fast or go combo and Stony Silence/Negate/GQ to slow them down.
@hotwaterproxy I'm not sure you'll be getting the best advice here. There is one local player here playing Ghostway. He is straight GWU; no red and using spike feeder combo instead of kiki-resto. Wall of Omens/Coiling Oracle/Kitchen Finks/Eternal Witness are the workhorses. Trostani and Venser are usually fine in ghostway builds where token producers like Voice/Scooze/Blade Splicer/Huntmaster don't play too nicely with ghostway. Venser is a very versatile answer and gives a lot of flexibility. I think it's probably worth keeping. Trostani helps with your already good match-ups. Burn/aggro are not usually difficult match-ups with our walls and all the incidental life gain we accrue. Glen Elendra Archmage and Vendilion Clique would be my top recommendations.
Jund or Golgari on paper look the strongest to me. In addition to the cards already mentioned:
In green we have Greenseeker and Llanowar Mentor as additional discard outlets for dredgers or Haakon. If going the Ashes of the Fallen route, Buried Ruin alongside Loam can allow you to assemble the full combo (haakon, ashes into sliver, blood artist) from the graveyard (if only we had Buried Alive...) and without the blue requirement of Academy Ruins. Gnaw to the Bone can also quite strong out of the side.
@Trench82: Give Vendilion Clique a try if you're looking for some more disruption. It does a pretty good sin collector impersonation.
@Archanz: What advantages does GRW offer over GBW? Without blue to enable pod chains why not run Angel/Melira? As far as the scapeshift match being rough; funny that the blue cards are generally the keys to the match-up. Glen Elendra was always my first target to pod towards. Negate out of the side also helps a lot.
Hi there guys, I played near a guy that he was running this decklist:
...
Very unique list. Polukranos is quite neat. I like the easy T3 kill off of just dork,BTE,pod. Lotus Cobra is the next best way I can think of but BTE doesn't require the T2 fetch.
However I dislike, no voices, pridemage or reclamation sage (anywhere in the 75!?). Burrenton Forge-Tender is sees play in Melira pod with Ranger of Eos but here it can only be a chord target.
Horizon Canopy instead of a second Township feels wrong. I'm skeptical of Nykthos, I can see it being reasonable to cut the Fire-lits. I fetch Hallowed Fountain fairly frequently but with BTE and Domri you're probably searching GU+RW or GW+RU instead of GR+UW
I was absolutely advocating more of a mid-range approach.
My experience is delver is not the legacy all-star in modern UR delver (where it's most at home). If you're sacrificing the reach of red for GB, I think you would be most successful playing to your strengths.

Yisan, the Wandering Bard
I've jammed him a couple times with supporting cast of Dryad Arbor, Scryb Ranger, Village Bell-Ringer, Restoration Angel, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to enable:
* T1: Forest, Dork.
* T2: Land, Yisan.
* T3: Fetchland, Pass. EOT tutor dork. Fetch Dryad Arbor.
* T4: Tutor Ranger. Untap Yisan, replay forest. Tutor Bell-ringer, untap team. Tutor Resto, blink bell-ringer, untap team. Tutor kiki, go infinite.

Leyline of Sanctity
However, on my way home I got thinking about trying to make Steppe Lynx consistent, Scryb Ranger was a staple in old maverick builds. Untaps knights, allows lynx re-triggers. Going further, a faeries package in the deck of Spellstutter Sprite, Vendilion Clique, Scryb Ranger, Glen Elendra Archmage and maybe even a Mutavault to fetch with knight.

Against fish decks, as always, you want removal to keep them off of a critical mass of lords. Engineered Explosives (bonus points with Academy Ruins/Hangarback Walker). In red builds, Rending Volley and Fiery Justice are versatile answers.
That or go junk and flicker rhinos all day.

Red also gives access to Lightning Axe.
Blue gives aforementioned Academy Ruins. Maybe Forbidden Alchemy and Narcomoeba?
White splash gives Lingering Souls and Unburial Rites. Not sure they completely fit though. The junk route opens up Knight of the Reliquary (Knight for Haakon) fetching out Horizon Canopy.
Vengeful Pharaoh is also reasonable against in any deck planning to dredge their draw step.

Massacre Wurm?
It's the only one 6-drop that's impressed me, although this was from the other side of the table. I haven't tested it myself.
