That sounds like fun. I'll join in to if I have the time (i've been rather busy lately, as seen by my lack of posts here). Blackvise. congrats on becoming a global mod. Out of curiosity, what type of of decks have you guys been running since the gatecrash release?

Oh how I'd love to go to the prereleases, but I'm afraid that I wont have the time. I made plans saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday (turning 18 usually means a big celebration with friends where I live since you're officially a legal drinker), which means that I'll have to work around that, and my courses don't give me much free time.

Maybe I'll get a box, since there are always some left over. I was thinking of going Dimir, am I the only one?

And EC, sorry about the filling. I had one when I was younger, but luckily it was only on a baby tooth (and yes, it fell out in case you're wondering). So far so good when it comes to fillings though, so let's hope it stays that way!

Since you're running alot of enchantments, would ethereal armor be good here? Also, propaganda might be fun, but that's just me. Other than that, it looks good.

Not really a grinding/mill player but Mind Grind looks so broken!

I know what you mean. I was hoping to run a mill deck with that and lazav. The effect would be disastrous. Does anybody know any good mill cards (preferrably standard, as that's what some of my friends play)?

On another note, the deep freeze continues with a -24 C, feels like -40 :o. Even for where I live, these are exceptionally cold temperatures today! don't forget to bundle up everybody Wink

So what card's are everyone looking forward to getting in GTC?

I would say that mine is lazav, dimir mastermind

Speaking of cold, it is -27 today and -36 with the wind chill. Today i am wearing a hat outside.

I know what you mean. Where I live, it's -27 ands feels like -40 with the wind chill. Today, I'm wearing a hat and mittens

Alright, I've had to take some time off; my courses have started back up, and I'm still getting used to having my later schedual for my new semester (I just realized how amazing my schedual last semester was).

That being said, I noticed that the gatecrash spoiler is complete. Can't wait for the cards to make it to where I live.

What's this about a clan contest??? Sounds like fun, whatever it may be. And Blackvise, yes, I would use the quick topic thread, but like EC said, I doubt people would stoop to stealing clan contest ideas.

On another note, it's -31 C with the windchill where I live today OMG and boy is it cold. What's it like where you guys live? Not too much snow I hope:D

Aah, shoveling snow in the mornings... I know how that feels. Got to love the cold. At least freezing rain didn't mean it was too cold outside. But then again, I I'd prefer sub-zero temperatures (celsius, in case you're wondering) to freezing rain; at least there wouldn't be any ice the next day on the roads. By the way, if you don't mind me asking (I feel like I should know this though), but what exactly is CDCC?

I love drafting. Albeit me not doing much of it, I find the whole experience fun, especially if you're with people you know. Quite honestly, I'd say I'm better at making a deck for drafting than I am for making an actual 60 card deck. I have all of these ideas for 60 card decks, but they never really work out. Just means I have to keep trying.

By the way guys, I know it's been a while but the KTF Make a Card card has been shipped to our good friend votan to render, so hopefully we'll have the finished thing later on. Smile

If you don't mind my asking, just what exactly is this Make a Card? How does that work?

Good to know I lucked out. I got them over the holidays for my deck for dirt cheap.

Aww, that's too bad, but I know just how you feel. I'm saving up for gatecrash so that I can load up on cards that pair well with my invisible stalker/enchantement deck. Anybody else think his price is going to shoot up with the realease of gatecrash or is that just me?

I've never actually gotten around to winning a tourney myself (so no bragging rights for me) simply because I don't really play to win. I suppose I should try though, since the winnings can be used to make my decks better. Right now I'm working on an enchantement deck that my friend and I came up with over the holidays for standard with invisible stalker. I'm really looking forward to cards with cipher. You guys wanna give me a hand with my deck?

Oh god, I can't believe I made that mistake! In my mind it was a creature... oops

Actually, wouldn't this make it a turn 4 9/9? You wouldn't have enough mana to do it on turn 3, and you would only be able to activate titan forge's ability the following turn since it doesn't have haste. Another thing I noticed is that you are very susceptable to echoing truth yourself, or any board wipe for that matter. Since you're playing blue, maybe putting in some control cards would be a good idea because lets face it, a turn four 9/9 puts a big target on it's back for all removal cards.

Also, I quit being a moderator and came back about 15 days later. (It grew on me.)

Really? I had checked in a few times and noticed that you had become a moderater. Congratulations. I've been wondering (I'm a naturally curious person), but how do you become a moderator on this site? On a side note, I'm gone a day and wow, there have been alot of posts!
