What is the best plan to attack the new Jund decks with 2-3 Kalitas main deck? I tested some against it last night and didn't feel too great about it.
I brought in 3 paths, Linvala, Qasali Pridemage (for leyline of the void and grafdigger's) and a Burrenton Forge Tender. I did not think the two Decays were worth bringing in. I believe I took out 2 chords, a Viscera Seer, one Melira, and Redcap.
Does that sound reasonable to you guys? Anything else I should consider?
Just cracked a ZE Blood Crypt on my second BfZ pack, and now I'm wondering what my best course of action is. I'm considering just holding on to it for a few years or so and see if it goes up in the long term. I'm assuming it will drop steadily in the short term.
What do you think? Sell/trade now, or hold onto for a while?
Hey all, I'm looking for some suggestions for which deck I should concentrate on or build based on what I already have. I'd like something set up well for my local meta but also able to do well at larger tournaments. My local meta has a lot of Grixis Twin (seems like almost 50% of matches), Burn, and Tron. Then a pretty even spread of other tier 1 and 2 decks.
Currently I have the following decks:
Abzan Company
Wilted Abzan / Abzan Liege
G/U Infect (can also splash B or W)
Living End (also have the Twin addition as an option)
Death and Taxes (mono W or GW)
BW Tokens
Naya Zoo (small version, no Goyfs yet)
So, firstly, which of those seems best for my current meta? I think so far I have the best win % with Infect, but not by a lot.
Any other suggestions for new decks to build? I'm open to any play style. Based on what I already have, two options for new decks with not much additional expense would be Bogles and Merfolk.
The fix to the member details bar is nice, but the menu drop down still does not work. The first few options appear, but scrolling still does not work. That means I still cannot switch back to desktop view.
I'm encountering all of the iOS issues above (iPhone 5 with 7.1.1). Biggest of all, though, is that I cannot find a way to switch back to the full site. Occasionally I can get the "desktop site" icon to show up in the drop down menu on the top right of the screen, but it never actually switches.
Please advise if there is a way to switch back as I would much prefer to use the full site instead of mobile.
I had a playset of revised Trops, but traded them last year (when they spiked at about $230) for a bunch of Modern staples. I'm sure I'll regret it later, but I now play a lot of modern and had never played a single game with the Trops, so I'm happy with the trade.
I do own all 40 shocks and working on fetches currently. Only enemy fetches I have, though, are 4x Verdant Catacombs.
This is probably a silly question, since I don't really see any lists running it, but have any of you tried restoration angelin this deck? It's one of my favorite cards ever printed, so I'm probably just trying to force it into decks where it doesn't belong, but it seems like rhinos and finks make some pretty good targets for a 1- or 2-of. Is there any room to try to fit it in? Or, has it already been tried? Thanks!
What are the preferred sideboard options against Splinter Twin? I'm running a standard Melira list with the Archangel combo added. It seems like 4x Thoughtseize is a definite, and some combination of Dismembers and/or Slaughter Pact to go with the 2x MB Abrupt Decays. I don't have Sin Collector mainboard, so right now I would bring that in, too.
Am I missing anything else? As for what to side out, I'm thinking 3x Chords can go, along with 2x Finks, but not sure what else to side out. Do you guys leave the combo(s) in for the Twin matchup?
Because i have almost all cards for Melira-Pod in my collection, i wanted to try it. But i am missing the fetchlands (except 2 Marsh Flats)so i want to know if that lack on fetchies will wreck this deck if i try to build without them. i will assamble those fetchlands in the future but i am interested in playing this deck on the next local event and i can not relay on asking others to lend thos lands to me.
I'm in a somewhat similar boat. I have a typical Melira pod deck -- with the Archangel combo thrown in for now -- that I just put together, but only have 4/8 fetches (I have 4x Verdant Catacombs). Here is what my current manabase looks like:
Maybe the 1x Plains should be a third Temple Garden instead? I do want that last slot to produce W for sure, though, since I'm only running two Noble Hierarchs. I have a second Wall of Roots instead of Hierarch #3. Haven't been able to test this too much yet, but seems ok so far. Any thoughts?
I have a quick budget-related question. If this needs to be moved to the budget forum, then I apologize.
I've built a pretty standard Melira pod list, but am still missing some fetches and 1 Noble Hierarch. Right now I only have 2 Verdant Catacombs. So I'm wondering what would be more valuable to this deck: a third Hierarch or a third (and possibly fourth) Catacomb? Already have everything else except the Rainforests.
Hey all. I've been slowly picking up pieces of this deck over the last couple months. Does anyone feel like potential upcoming bans will hurt this deck? I'm wondering if I should hold off investing any more until we know more about what may or may not get banned next week. Or am I just being paranoid?
Awesome, thanks for the responses. If it's tomorrow night, though, I might as well just wait one more day to make sure that's the direction I want to go still. Makes sense that they wouldn't ban in the middle of a season.
I've started acquiring some cards needed to put together a pod deck, but might want to hold off if there's a somewhat realistic chance of pod being banned soon.

Any eta on further fixes?
