    An excellent idea in theory. In practice, however, I think the two walkers would have to share both flavor and mechanical overlap in order for the design not seem clunky. Within the current possible roster, such a scenario would most likely be something like "Ral & Tezzeret, Diabolical Engineers."

    As unlikely as it is, I'm hoping for more occurrences like in Dominaria where Chandra received a Planeswalker deck card even though she didn't get a main set card. Nevertheless, this means only 9 out of 15 of the trilogy's walkers are for sure going to be different characters, provided there isn't any double booking like Sarkhan in Khans block or Huatli in Ixalan block.

    Now, let's take a look at our potential ensemble cast.

    Gatewatch: Jace, Gideon, Chandra, Ajani, Teferi
    Bolas League: Nicol Bolas, Tezzeret, Ral Zarek, Vraska, Liliana.

    Not included in this roster are the allies Ajani is said to have been assembling. The only walkers he's known to be acquainted with are his fellow Book Club members Tamiyo and Narset. Additionally, Ramaz, a minion of Bolas, is not included either. And then we have to assume Ajani doesn't drag along Narset who drags along Sarkhan who drags along Ugin. Domri is probably somewhere around too. It's a mess of possibility I'm not going to speculate on, so I'm sticking to the Gatewatch and Bolas League members.

A "Good is Not Nice" character example would be either Ugin (which is a massive stick in the mud, just as methodical and cunning as Bolas himself, and that sees minor sacrifices like a WHOLE FREAKING PLANE as acceptable sacrifices for the greater good of the Multiverse) or Sorin (When he's not being a complete idiot, that is. No, I'm still not over the terrible Shadows over Innistrad story fiasco). Both of them think they are doing what they see as the best for those around him, but they often need to take extreme measures to do so.

    Urza, in the other hand... isn't. There are so many times that Urza just said "screw it" and made everyone else's lives miserable just to fulfill his own selfish ambitions. Most of the times, when he did something nice to someone, it was usually for his own personal benefit as well. Even when he was trying to save Dominaria, it could be just as easily attributed to the fact that back then Dominaria was the Nexus of the Multiverse, and its destruction would cause the end of every Plane in existence.

    Precisely.

    Urza was not a hero, at all. His war against Phyrexia was a case of Evil vs. Evil. Lily is the same, she is a villain protagonist.
    Eh i don't know about Lili. In my book the end game for a Villain Protag has to be good (ie No Phyrexia) even if the methodology is evil as all hell.

    She is a necromancer.
    She is a mass murderer.
    She traffics with demons.
    She manipulates people around her to achieve her goals.
    She literally threatened someone with watching their friends get eaten alive by ghouls unless they did what she asked.

    A villain protagonist does not need to have a "good" end goal. They just have to be a/the protagonist of the story being told, which Lily was.

    Meh, Urza isn't a straight up villain.
    He was a massive jerk during the Brothers' War and after that he became a little better. He was guilty for his brother's death but, conviently, he blamed mostly phyrexians. All he did after that was for destroying phyrexia, not for personal gain. He could have easily sat at the right of Yawgmoth and rule Dominaria and several other planes but he never did (i'll talk about his betrayal later)
    At the end he was a complex character that i'd put in the WUR combination, being mostly blue and having the worst blue and white traits.
    He had a very cold and distorted vision of the world. Everything was a pawn, or even better a cog into the machine that is the existance. A terrible view, but that also lacked some villain concept like cruelty.
    The example is the killing of Tevesh Szat. He needed a soul for activating the bomb, so he had 3 options: 1) sacrifice his own 2) straight up kill someone 3) wait for some kind of loophole. He choose 3) which is the bluest option, not good but not even 100% evil.
    Even in his betrayal he wasn't straight up evil. He didn't do that out of spite or for personal gain. He really believed Phyrexia was right. Phyrexia fit his distorted, mechanistic vision of the world and he wanted to be part of it.
    At the end, it's hard to say that Urza is a villain because his vision of the world wasn't normal.
    Glad to see that many condemn him for destroying nature and environment. Looking at the politicians doesn't seem like many share that kind of view.

    Meanwhile Liliana is just egoistic over and over. She did her dark deal just to preserve her beauty and her power. Her vision of the world is that she is more important than anyone else because she is Liliana. All the Josu story was made to make her more emphatic and give good vibes, but in the end she has been an egoistic jerk for hundreds of year.

    Assuming its only one command walker per deck, the lineup should be something like:

    Urza (#1 most requested planeswalker, probably 5-color artifacts)
    Serra (#2 most requested planeswalker, probably a mix of life-gain, token generation, and Angel tribal)
    "New Character" (Like Daretti in Commander 2014, I doubt they'll pass up the opportunity to make someone new)
    "Wild Card" (Could literally be any planeswalker character with a high chance of it being a character who's never been depicted on a planeswalker card)

    Nowhere near guaranteed, though, seeing as the commander design team usually makes the card effects first, then shoe-horns a character into that design.

    Gideon: *wraps his meat-limbs around Jace's shoulder and leads him toward the training room* ...and after discussing your performance against Emrakul's brood on Innistrad, we've come to the conclusion that your current training is lackluster. But don't worry; with my help, you're sure to see results!

    Buy a Box promo packs seem interesting. Foil Guay lands are great, the rare/mythics could be sweet.

    Starting with Ixalan, you now receive a buy-a-box promotional booster pack containing foil Guay basic lands, a random standard-legal rare/mythic, a random foil of any standard-legal card, and...I forget...
    But this is all in addition to the regular buy-a-box promo which appears to be the 'Inferno Titan-osaurus thing' Burning Sun's Avatar.
