gonna be a pretty mediocre Tron deck without access to Expedition Map and Sylvan Scrying -

drop 4 guilded lotus, 1 metamorph, 2 mox opal, 1-2 dispatch
add 3 tumble magnet, 3 day of judgment and 2-3 terminus
alternatively, play the red version.
an aside on counterspells
I'm not a fan of running counterspells in Battle decks for a few reasons.
1) they're very reactive. You're going to be tapping out a lot for your first 3-4 turns usually, digging for a Battle.
2) You probably won't have time to wait till turn 9 or 10 to try to Battle with counter back up
3) If you're playing vs decks with lots of counterspells, you are probably not going to combo them, so you should be playing actual threats vs permission based control decks, anyway... instead of hoping they let you resolve some combo.
4) Permission based control decks are weak now anyway with Cavern of Souls, so it not only weakens running our own counters - it also makes opponents less likely to have them... which is good for us
anyway, here's my 3rd-ish draft...

So, the 'unusual' choices and my explanation for them:
No countermagic maindeck
I simply don't find there's much need for it. Cavern of Souls makes it much less valuable. LGS meta has only a couple control deck players anyway.
No spot removal
I'd like to run a Go for the Throat or two, but don't see where I could fit them in. I'm looking for suggestions on this.
Blade Splicer
These guys are so good. You can recur them with Sun Titan, or just copy with Phantasmal Image and set up an impressive ground force. They usually draw out removal like crazy, but if not removed - they make it very easy to slow the game to a crawl (which allows Flare to set up the late game with complete control) -or- they let you just bash face if you're playing against a control matchup.
Mimic Vat
Again, Sun Titan recursion target and enabling you to set up instant speed Sun Titan recursion!) Pretty excellent card against Geists, Titans, Restoration Angel, etc.
Sideboard
First - the board is heavily weighted to fight Zombie, R/x aggro, and Titan Ramp decks
But the specific card choice that I feel will get some raised eyebrows:
Nevermore?!? Well, yeah. It's a 'bad' card that is actually really good against a few problem decks/cards. Firstly, there are not too many enchantment removal cards seeing play. Secondly, I can side in Negates to answer them. Thirdly, Sun Titan recurs Nevermore, making it hard to permanently answer. Nevermore is a great way to fight Titans, Swords, Planeswalkers, and Zealous Conscripts, -- all of which can be quite problematic for Solar Flare.
So - thoughts on the build? Any suggestions on how to squeeze a little spot removal into the deck? Any other thoughts?
