For post-rotation, we can use Seance and Cackling counterpart to create the initial token; you really only need to copy once to supply of whatever you're copying (I like personally like Thundermaw Hellkite as the target.). Much of this will depend on how available Populate will be (something like "Make 1/1 Saproling/Solider, Populate" or reusable Populate would be ideal).
Rhox Faithmender pleasantly surprised me for a "Let's find another playable". Worst case, he's a sturdy blocker with 2 life a block. Best case, he produces hilarious life swings with Exalted+Mark of the Vampire on something.
Been playing with more or less this list (scraped together sideboard of removal protection and some graveyard hate). Some thoughts:
Phyrexian Obliterator is disappointing. When it hit, it hit hard, but the mana requirement was just very difficult to obtain in a reasonable time. It was deadweight the majority of games. And...
The deck is primarily green, yet needs a huge Swamp base just to get the Obliterator out. And again, while Obliterator is fun, it's a bit too cute of a trick to build the whole mana base around.
Dread Slaver is fun but underwhelming against token heavy or creature light decks. Possible BSZ SB against tokens? And need a stronger win-con against heavy control.
Vault Skirge preformed admirably. Good early game, easy to get out, and later on creates massive life swings with the fight mechanic. Might go something like Mutagenic Growth; 6/6->Prey Upon; 9/9 +9 life->Tracker, +18 life->Swing,+27 life.
Possible tech: Darksteel Plate, Withstand Death, Viridian Corrupter (SB), Young Wolf/Strangleroot Geist, Metamorph.
Both, absolutely both. Even on the field together, they force tough choices; with bounce or a sac outlet like Bloodflow Connoisseur, they get ridiculously silly and make combat next to impossible for your opponent.
1. You have two Invocations, P2P1.
2. You have three Invocations, P3P1.
You have no Archomancers on either pick, and a decent suite of instant/sorceries.
Archomancer vs Invocation.
Been playing with more or less this list (scraped together sideboard of removal protection and some graveyard hate). Some thoughts:
a. The dragon can block when the 5th creature attacks.
b. He still gains counters from attackers after he wakes up.
