I highly disagree with you in regards to Abundant Growth, it fixes your mana perfectly which is very underrated, Especially if you're playing 4x Blood Moon. It not only replaces itself, be becomes draw 2 for 1 mana with an enchantress out which is HUGE and Ancestral Recall with 2 EE (Enchantress Effects).Blue decks wishes they could and I'd play 8 if I could.
I would also include 4x Sythis, Harvest's Hand, they're actually still great in multiples as it replaces itself with a draw and life gain trigger.
I'm a firm believer in 4x Sterling Grove in Modern since we don't have the luxury of playing enlightened tutor, not only do 2 Sterling Grove in play protect and lock your prison pieces but prevents each other from being targeted by your opponent trying to disrupt your board state control.
Furthermore, 4x Solitary Confinement is 100% better than ghostly prison, with two EE on board, you negate the chance of not paying the upkeep cost, not to mention that it prevents you from decking yourself and gives you the bonus of shroud! We don't have access to Elephant grass, and Ghostly Prison is much too slow for any aggressive deck.
I've been playing Legacy Enchantress and many Commander variants cine early 2010's, and I think you guys are underestimating the power of enchantress...The most important core to this deck in Modern from my experience that doesn't change:
The rest are your flex spots and Silver Bullets and Hosers like Blood Moon, spreading Seas, etc. I've been brewing with much success so far since the spoiling of Enchantress's Presence. I've been brewing a 5 Colour 4x Blood Moon + 4x Spreading Seas
Been playing Humans for a long while and my LGS seems to be catching on the the Arclight Phoenix decks. The Arclight/Titi decks seem great vs humans. Which cards shine and how do we sideboard/beat them? Or is this a matchup deemed unfavourable and unwinable?
What's everyone's opinion about Chalice of Void? What do you Sideboard them in against? I assume Death's Shadow, Living End, Burn, Elves, Storm. What other matchups would you bring them in against and what do you normally board them out for them?
Which matchups are you siding out Borborygmos in? I almost never side out Borborygmos. One of the appeals to the deck is you can invalidate path/removal and win instant speed. Without Borborygmos, you give your control opponents free reign to tap out on our turn, make path an unbeatable wall, and some other corner case applications like beating bridges, requiring an extra Angel's Grace from Ad Nauseam, mini-comboing with Borborygmos to clear hatebears etc.
Blood Moon is fine this this meta, but IMO we are a combo deck first and foremost and we need to maximize our G1 win percentage. To me a card that does not contribute to our g1 plan A has no place in the main deck.
If you do not want to play with Borborygmos, I think you should be playing the Grixis/BR goryo's deck and swap out wurms for emrakuls and the shoal package for cantrips, IMO.
Lastly, Manamorphose at worst replaces itself, and at best enables instant speed kills when resource constrained by allowing you to make black mana from just SSGs and rituals.
Thanks for the reply; after playing a bunch of matchups recently I've come to terms and understand the importance of both Borborygmos and Manamorphose. My second comment in regards to MB card decisions is the singleton of Collective Brutality. Do you guys find that this card is better than the third Desperate Ritual or even a second MB Lightning Axe?
I've been fiddling with the deck for the last week or so and I've noticed that I've been boarding out Borborygmos almost every single match up to the point where I ask whether his two MB slots could be used for something more proactive; in this case MB Blood Moons as they seem to be positioned great against most of the meta.
I realize that B.B. is used to win out combat lock and sometimes used as a Shoal fodder, however, what are your thoughts?
EDIT: Furthermore, I don't typically use Manamorphose in many of my matches, unless I've screwed up 'going off', is it cuttable?
Thoughts about MM Dark Confidant? It seems to be sold out on SCG @ $100.00, where as the originnal Ravnica edition is stagnant at $80.00. Is this price artificially inflated?
Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but what do you think the value of this card will be in the next while? It has started to see some attention in the modern community with devotion decks. Should I pick up a placeset if I see them at $7.00?
Not sure if this has been discussed somewhere on here already, but I was wondering what you guys think this card's value will be in about 1-3months?
Personally, I think the card is a steal at $25.00 at the preoder price. I can't see this card dropping lower than $15.00 at any point as it is a legendary, a mythic and a very efficient beater

PS Simian Spirit Guide is banned in Modern

Now, my question is for all of you red mages out there; Which colour is more potent in terms of both burn and sideboard cards. White or Black?
White:
Boros Charm
Lightning Helix
Stony Silence
Wear // Tear
Etc
Black:
Bump in the Night
Thoughtseize
Inquisition of K.
Etc
I'm currently playing Rbu, but I may test with white. Thoughts?
After testing, I found spellskite mb to be very useful. I'd probably replace Immolating Souleater for it.

I think you should add card tags. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. -Galspanic
