I currently am working deaths shadow doing grixis first but have been super intrigued by the esper version (esper mage at heart). I am curious to see where this archetype ends up as more people look to push against grixis
Just curious. I used to play a sultai midrange/control deck. Not sure of the main problems with this deck. It's next one I'm going to build and test. But I used to run bow of nylea in my board to help with burn and infect and even stalemates with bigger creatures then you always can trade in combat if nothing else. This was also before fatal push but do you think now of nylea could help

I am unsure as to why pros put 23 lands in the grixis jace decks.
Can anyone tell me why 23 is better than 22 in that shell?
I tend to manascrew often.
From my understanding 23 lands are used to get a good balance of cards in and be able to cast things like Tasigur and Gurmag Angler if you don't have a complete graveyard. Also, it'll help keep mana consistency. It is extremely rare that I have mana problems (it should be noted that one of my 23 lands is a Ghost Quarter so that can help against tron and affinity match ups).
also quick question, how do you people feel about goblin dark dwellers I posted my list like 2 posts ago I was cutting 1 pyromancer for one dwellers thoughts?
In my current version I have two Goblin Dark Dwellers and it's helped me beat Podless Collected, aggro decks, and tron. It lets you bring back an anger of the gods to wipe your opponents board while the Goblin Dark Dweller doesn't die. Also, it's a 4/4 beater with menace so it prove tough to stop in most creature based decks unless they block killing both their creatures or leaving one open for a lightning bolt.

would doing something like 2 young pyromancer and 1 gurmag angler be a good mix?? or do we want to be one or the other I run a more controlish list with a mix of 22 lands, I know most people will say 22 is too few but I have actualy had no real issues with lands in the 4+ months I been playing this list since I don't have a big/high curve:
you also have mystic snake!!!! lol and celestial purge and great sideboard stuff with stony silence and rest in peace and makes using spellskite a little more easy. I have wanted to do bant also but I no good at brewing I get scared. maybe that will be a new year resolution to brew more and try newer things and play different cards to test out more in more established decks. I really like your deck midwesternmudkip. it looks like it has lots of versatility. there are a couple things different from my list but I ultimately like your list a lot, I have started tweaking more to match your since it seems like you ultimately got to the point I have been trying to get to and I just coudnt find ways to jam it all in there like you did lol
